The main character of this story, Munenori Agawa, is the only person who could save Rena Amami from this odd disease. Agawa's saliva is the only thing that can halt the disease from making Rena younger, so they must kiss everyday in order for her to survive. This causes an immense amount of conflict and drama between Agawa and his new girlfriend, Sayako Asou. This triangle relationship story tests the capabilities and limitations of human love. |

he's referring to this! https://raw.senmanga.com/Sakuranbo_Syndrome/Volume_11/3
God I binged read this and I looooove the series. <3
Holy shit I read the whole thing in one go. Really enjoyed it. Excuse me while I go pass out because I have to wake up in 2 hours.
"The answer lies behind the title page behind the book cover"
What does that mean? Isn't it blank? Did the author troll us?
rena has always been legal. is over 18 years old. she's just a loli.
There should have been a bonus chapter of their threesome lives after the ending. It's a waste to not draw sex scenes of adult Rena now that she's legal, kinda bored with Asou's saggy tits after all the lewd scenes.
I'm pretty sure that the emphasis is made on them living together again with all the abstract happiness involved.
But yeah, since she was rejecting other men, it might be implied that Rena wants to go back into the harem relationship.
The last chapters felt like a betrayal on the series's spirit, but it can be forgiven because it served as a way to loo look into the future of the relationship. I can still recomend the series.
She doesn't even know. She said she was coming back to see if she was finally an adult, meaning she has yet to find out. It's an open ending, use your imaginations.
My deepest gratitude to all scanlation groups that enabled us this memorable journey over the last years. It was an amazing read. Like with the other works of Kitazaki, this was one of the very few manga whose update I always awaited impatientely. Sad to see it end but happy for all the fond memories. Thank you!
I disagree with people saying the ending was horrible.
I'm the kind of person who looks for answers in manga.
I've been reading this manga for years, but since last year, i got invovled in a similar "love out of pitty" relationship
were my confession was a lie, and i ended-up believing my own lie, so it was like destiny.
I was agonizing on how my realtionship turned in the end, but the ending came just in time, and it was like a revelation.
The is not just one kind of Love "romantic one", there are many, and even short one can serve a purpose, and change someone's life for ever
The loving choice doesn't alway lead to "happily ever after", it just bring an end to an arc of your life, your life goes on.
Thanks for Taku kitzaki for helping me accepting how my relationship have ended. ;_;
Great story, terrible ending. The last arc was terrible and seeing how the manga was aiming to be one of the more realistic and logical out there, it should not have involved polygamy, which is a product of insane people that are mentally deficient marrying each other. What a waste of my time.
That last arc was absolute nonsense; all of a sudden the story is concluded with these 2 "crazy & gay" cartoon villains?
That being said, I loved the book overall and I liked seeing the characters grow over time!
can rainbow balls be next? that would be awesome
Wow. Kitazaki really had no idea how to end this story. That was the most artificial conflict I've ever read. Legitimately worse than Seo's stuff, even Kimi no Iru Machi. First time an ending has retroactively soured the story for me as a whole.
I think I'll pretend it ended after whatever chapter had the "together forever" thing in it.
As a friend most likely
Saw this when it was first uploaded, held off reading it until it finished because I knew if would have more cliffhangers than I could bear.
So glad I did. Phew.
I think Agawa would have allowed her to stay together if it was just both of them involved. Adding Asou to the equation as well, probably compelled him to send Rena away for Asou's sake as well.
Someone clarify this to me... Rena was coming back as a partner?, a three people relationship?
The subtext that I got at the end is that all three of them live together... and yeah, probably like that. After all that's what Agawa pretty much tells her at the end, basically - go out there, get independent and if you still feel the same way, then come back.
I really didn't think the ending was ambiguous at all.
i'm just glad one of kitazaki taku's manga finally got fully tanslated.
The ending (after all of the ridiculous shit, which was tiresome to read through) felt a bit like Toradora's ending to me. They split up to prove their love or "make it on their own", but it really felt unnecessary. It's not that hard to become your own person even when you're in a relationship. I suppose the characters are only as smart as the author. It was nice to see them together at the end, but after an actual decade Rena realistically probably would have found someone else. A decade's a long ass time. I would've been really satisfied if they just stayed together.
Nevertheless what a great series. There are none out there that compare. Dramatic, cute at times, sexy at times, really sweet, and very interesting throughout. Wonderful cast of characters that I really cared for. Thank you very much to the translators for a fantastic job!
Satisfying and yet not at the same time. She is a 20 year old already sending her off to "grow up" is still pretty dumb, especially since it was for a decade not a year or two. At least the author showed the love between all 3 is real. Though honestly for me this series ended a volume ago at Chapter 87.
I wish they could finish translating his other series since that one is good too.
hmmm well. I'll say it in spanish
Estuvo bueno, pero siento que el final fue innecesariamente dramático.
Aun asà fue una gran serie.
Thanks for finish.
so, Rena lives as a "partner"? A daughter (she already has a loving family!)? I feel like her real family has been totally alienated.
