This series is best in its happy and funny moments. There are moments when it tries to be serious or even dark but because these moments come less than 1/10 of the time they pretty much seem out of place. If there was more of a balance between them and the comedic moments I could see it working but because the romance and comedy vibes are so strong, any ominous feelings or attempts at a darker more serious series end up losing quite a bit of leeway.

It was stated somewhere in manga that succubus in order to not get pregnant cast runes(magic and shit) on themselves, that's why they have kids with guys whom they deem as suitable or just love them. Lotte mother had sex with naoya in human world where she didn't have enough mana to cast that rune, after the deed she had that "oops i did it again" moment where she realized that she forgot to cast that anti-pregnant rune.

1. Naoya, a human from another world is somewhat special, whether it's because of earth human in general or Naoya in particular we don't know.

 

2. In this manga, if a succubus want to make a child it seems the process is a bit special and need to be intended, since the queen (and probably all besides Rotte) had sex with many men but resulted in no child, but Naoya, again he managed to impregnate the Queen in weird way that's why Asuha become half Succubus.

You know, there's always one thing I didn't really understand about the lore, though...

 

Since there are no male succubus/incubus anymore, succubus seemed to evolve in a way that they could use any species for reproduction. The baby would effectively be 100% succubus regardless. And yet why was Asuha in such a weird, half-succubus situation, when she should have been full succubus regardless?

 

Am I remembering wrong? Were there ever other mentions of half-breed succubus? I don't remember which chapter it was, but I was pretty sure it explicitly said that all succubus born were completely succubus regardless of their fathers. I could be remembering wrong and superimposing them simply saying all succubus were born female...
