FYI, Omegaverse originally started out as a an alternate universe trope of Supernatural fan-fiction. Other fan communities started to adopt the phrase and codify the universe "canon." It loosely (really loosely) adopts actual wolf hierarchy, only, you know, porn. Common trope themes are knotting, marking (biting the back of the neck), and a DOM/sub type relationship between one Alpha and an Omega.

However, different authors can portray omegaverse according to their preferences, I have seen some omegaverse AUs have the concept of knotting/bonding, in some they can shape-shift into werewolves, well, as there are no set of 'canon' rules so mostly anything goes when it comes to exploring this universe.
Can someone explain this Omegaverse to me?
