non ti lamentare! magari avessi un matrimonio combinato con sti boni
Sorry, didn't realize you were one of those people. It is frightening the speed at which the term has morphed since it first started getting bandied about.
Look, if it doesn't mean anything much to you why do you bother talking about it like it's some Really Bad Thing?
And we're back to using "NTR" where it doesn't belong.
I wrote NTR because she's his love interest. I don't think you have to be in a relationship with the 3rd party to get NTR'd. Okay, older bro didn't have sex with her (yet), but the kiss shows his true intentions : taking the girl for himself, even though he *knows* his little bro likes her and always has, even though he knows it's partly his fault that they were both traumatized and that the little brother is the way he is.
It's like saying "oh well, I tried to do good, but now it's time to be selfish". On more than one page, he's clearly looking down on his little bro.
http://vatoto.com/reader#405f9df86535ee46_13"poor little bro is so easy to understand"
http://vatoto.com/reader#405f9df86535ee46_18here, he's peeved that his little bro is smiling, just because "jelly"
http://vatoto.com/reader#405f9df86535ee46_26"I want to see him miserable"
http://vatoto.com/reader#405f9df86535ee46_35"this means war"
He "wished" for a happy ending for both of them (he knows that Ichika likes/liked the little bro), but then decided that his own selfish desire was paramount, so that his little bro ends up colder and lonelier is finally of no importance compared to it.
I wouldn't have any qualm about the girl choosing the older bro if it was a fair "fight", but he's just taking advantage of weaknesses he himself created in the other two. And he's just an ass, sorry.
That the little bro is immature and prone to outburst is of no relevance. Yukinari is childish, I'll give you that, but he's not a schemer.
I just don't like the older bro's attitude. He's smug, persuaded he's the better man, even though he's always been jealous of his little bro and feels entitled to steal the girl his little bro always loved, hugging her and kissing her.
He's allowed to like her. But going out of his way to hurt his little bro and push him out of the way, instead of letting the girl choose fairly is poor form.
That seems a little strong . . . for one thing, how do you get "NTR"? She's not in any way shape or form dating the younger brother; is she supposed to be his property or something?
And while the older brother blames himself a whole bunch for what happened in the past, he didn't actually do anything particularly terrible--teased his younger bro a bit. He did not, for instance, nearly freeze anyone to death. How was he supposed to know the kid would snap and almost kill her having his little tantrum? I think you're taking the older bro's self-blame at face value a little too much, but what I see is someone who has been trying, somewhat, to put himself in the background and hand things to his brother out of guilt even though he has no real responsibility to do so. He may not always do the right thing, but at least the idea is on his radar.
Honestly I prefer the older brother. He made a mistake when he was a little boy. And I don't know how many men kiss a girl when she's asleep in manga, the hero does that a lot. Not that I think it is right, but it seems to be the norm and it isn't like he groped her. To me it isn't that he wants to ruin his younger brother's life, but if you have two brothers or two friends who both like the same girl and both fight for her, one of them is bound to be hurt. I dislike the younger brother's personality, his personality type in manga always irritates me. But I know where this is going in my heart and I wish I was wrong. I'll keep reading anyways in hopes I am wrong.
The older brother is a real asshole.
He ruined both their lives, but now, he wants the girl too, because "I'm allowed to want her for myself, right? After all, I assaulted her while she slept."
"So let's try to NTR Yukinari and make him miserable once again. No hard feelings, bro".
I want to slap him.
I got a good LOL out of the situation.
I didn't realize the extra chapter was only a few pages long because there was a one-shot included too. Otherwise, I would've done it last week... The one-shot doesn't have any english translations out either, but I'll work on it if I find some. It's titled "Kimi no Yume Nara Boku mo Mitai" if anyone's curious. This also marks the end of the second volume! Enjoy~
Awww Yukimari is just a little cinnamon roll with "frost"ing on top
I personally am just fine with bakemono-sama, aniki and so on staying untranslated.
Meanwhile, what a cute chapter . . . crying ice-crystals, awww. Thanks ilaanon!
I tried to localize the translations as best as I could for chapters 4 and 5 (bakemono-sama -> great monsters, aniki -> brother/Tougo), but I've decided to keep those as is from now on, if they pop up again. I can't find a word that embodies the same connotation as "bakemono-sama"... Also, Reika's lines are so annoying to convert into some form of Shakespearean/Elizabethan speech LOL but that's one thing I will continue doing!!
Enjoy the next chapter~ (whenever it gets uploaded)
Stories about the "snow woman" type always kind of . . . I mean, they're neat, but there's this basic physical problem especially as you get intimate.
Someone gets frozen, or someone gets melted; it's a bad scene all round.
