I'm sure there's a few like him in the real world.
The story is simple and works for nakahara's style. There weren't anything too annoying in this manga.
Nakahara's romances are too understated for my taste, though it's not bad.
She develops good friendship between the two leads, but I feel there's a lack of romantic tension when they realize they like the other, so it becomes 1D.
Also the guy usually doesn't show he likes the girl until the end so you're guessing his feelings and it comes off sometimes as contrived or too mellow.
Normally, I'd agree with you, but this is probably the only work of hers that I've read that I don't like. The main reason is Mi-chan. He just rubbed me the wrong way from the get-go. I got about halfway through the second chapter and couldn't take much more. I know that a lot of love stories revolve around the main characters not initially getting along, then growing to care for each other along the way, but I feel like their relationship was too contrived.
I tried, I really tried, but this one simply can't compare to Lovely Complex, Nanaco Robin, or any of Nakahara Aya's other works. The artwork's good--I really like her style--but the story just wasn't my speed, almost solely because of Mi-chan.
