I think the author wanted to constantly barrage us with hints that she was in a hospital and that something was up. They wanted it to be so obvious that our initial impression was wrong so that when the "twist" came we'd feel a bit guilty that we assumed it was some kind of paid prostitution thing. I think the author's commentary is that in today's society we constantly assume the worst in people, even when we're looking at something as sad and beautiful as a father trying to cheer up his daughter before her potential death.

The ending is well done but I dont get whats so great about this overall , its obviously that it tries to be intentionally misleading so its rly no surprise when the "plot wist" comes.

plus imo its kinda obvious from the start that theyre in a hospital~ Dno if the author was going for the schools nurses` office vibe

Having read this before I guess I look at the cover in a different light but my problem with this one shot is that it isnt just the cover. As I said , yes its obvious that youre being intentionally mislead but with many pages of the story its just impossible to interpret whats going on in any ways but one, then the big reveal comes and you`re supposed to think "Oooh thats what it was!" but.... it sure as hell doesnt seem like that xD So that actually makes me kinda uncomfortable

So like I guess what the author intended was a good idea but they just didnt manage to rly execute it~

 

So cool little story but to keep popping up on highest rated series this often~  And all the hype~

I really hesitated to read this when I saw the cover... but if was rated that high it probably wasn't what it looked like... And indeed it wasn't, thankfully. But all these creepily ambiguous formulations in the first part can't not be intentional.
