It's super awesome a group is continuing this, but... why is each page 5MB? That's a REALLY large file size for a greyscale PNG with a resolution of 1000x1380...
You guys do know you can losslessly render greyscale images as 8-bit PNG instead of 24-bit, right? The only time 24-bit PNG should be used, honestly, is for color pages...
This will allow you to keep file sizes down without losing any quality. Hope this helps!
