whoa, what's with the 20 volume jump?

Eh, there was a cross over with the other manga, so they decided to do that volume first real quick.

Allo, Gent from Irregular Scans here.

All the links to our pages are here in the Description tab : https://vatoto.com/group/_/i/irregular-scans-r5993

Thanks a lot, and we're looking forward to having you on board!

Wow, jumping 40+ chapters really shows how these characters gets seriously flanderized over time.

well at least this one show some growth in body unlike some hundred plus chapter detective manga that still show the mc as a kid.

i am more concerned that she just flew to other nations without showing her passport. Even if you exclude the visa thing, there is a still a process to follow .

It's a private helicopter, I assume the entire travel process was illegal and that once they got to the courthouse they just assumed that everyone there had arrived legally.

That's much more in the realm of "physically possible" (merely illegal) than "holding 360 pounds with one hand supporting from underneath".

No point nit picking about minor differences that don't change the outcome. I mean, I can point out that SMS is an acronym and not a word, but it's not as though it changed your point.

I don’t think I get what you’re trying to say here about nitpicking.
Shout out for Irregular Scans who publishes chapter 81 in line with CMB’s latest chapter <3 you guys rock!!

Honestly, I find the way he explains the case at the end a bit amusing.

He goes over the possibility of each suspect being the murder. He literally riles them up with "IT COULD BE YOU... but it's not you." These innocent suspects get so anxious since his explanation is so, uh, believable(?) that they can't help but want to shout their innocence, and then they release a sigh of relief when he says they're not the murderer. After all the innocent suspects get their dose of anxiety, he then reveals the murderer.

Oh ye gods, the gags get pretty extreme over the next 20 volumes, I guess?

That box had 15 dumbbells in it (2 layers of 5 horizontal, and 5 more vertical if you look towards the back). If those were all 10kg dumbbells like the top layer, then she was just holding THREE HUNDRED SIXTY POUNDS (150 kilos) in ONE HAND.

Also, I'm quite impressed with the author over the very realistic depiction of how the spread of isolationist nationalism works. But also I hate that people are stupid enough for it to work. Fuck Trump &c.

This crossover was so cool. I couldn't help but smile while reading the whole entire time. I even had a hard time choosing which to read first

Edit: Lol I just started reading CMB's side and the translator said to read QED's side first.

There are some translation issues which must be because it was based on the Indonesian translation.

Mainly it's the use of the word "SMS" which creates a case of lost in translation.

The original word is of course メール (mêru), that is, email. Actual email with the usual address like [email protected]. In Japan it was common to text others through email on your phone, something that the rest of the world doesn't do. Instead for the rest of the world, email has "corporate-y" feel to it and is mostly reserved for more formal settings and through a personal computer, not a cellphone. So it's understandable that the word gets translated that way, which usually is not an issue.

Email address is distinct from your phone number. It's common for Japanese to know only one but not the other.

SMS, however, uses the same number as the phone, so if you can call them you can text them and vice versa.

Also, I believe it's more common to say "text message" instead of "SMS", and "cellphone" instead of "hand phone".

Spoiler

Thanks for the chapter! No worries about skipping to volume 41.... Unlike, say, Detective Conan, there's basically no overarching plot like you said. Only the occasional loose callback.

never thought detective stories can be this comedic lol

Granma PLAYA

always thought what happens to two(three) timing women when they get old with their habits

LMAO! God damn it Granma! Calm down! XD

I'm unsure which is scarier; the fact that she can break a boulder (cleanly) in half, or the face of those three dolls.

Spoiler

am i the only one who saw this and thought "scanlation group recruitment ad" xD

Hey guys. Gent from Irregular Scans here.

So it's been close to 9 months since we've picked up Q.E.D, and our releases have been steady at best. We're currently looking for someone who can give us Indonesian raws of the Volumes (don't need to scan it, some good photos would help too) or even better, a Japanese-English translator. All the details are available in our recruitment page which has been uploaded with the chapter. If you're interested, give us a holler at either of the links mentioned below.

On the other hand, we're glad to announce that we've created a Discord server, where you can join us and interact with the scanlators to know about future releases. Tumblr and Twitter pages are also in the works, so you can follow us over there and be updated with our progress.

Thank you for your support as always!

wow chapter 38.1 roasted my brain cells real good

=< That was a depressing ending even if it's meant as a sorta-happy one.

Was Chapter 37 in that Q.E.D. drama they made a while back? The time-travel and solve an inheritance mystery setup seems familiar, but I can't tell if it's just because it's been done before.

Is it just me, or is Touma actually getting older?

Chapter 26:

Chapter 36:

Spoiler

Yes, that is something people do. They get older as time passes. It's pretty incredible isn't it?
