start of chapter 15: smooth.

here i was thinking about the wife and son Ogura cheated on...

The ending felt rushed, like the author was made to finish everything and bundle it up in two chapters. Shiho is kind of a mary sue character but I quite like her. It's a great work, nevertheless.

I'm liking this a lot so far--probably wouldn't have tackled it if I didn't see Comadrin talking it up.

Although Comadrin, I gotta admit that even though everyone seems to worship Glass Mask I didn't like it much.  I understand that it's historically important and all, but I found it melodramatic and full of plot manipulation, while the characters never seemed very realistic.  I gave up after a while.

I'm so happy to not be the only one who didn't like Glass Mask. It was fairly melodramatic indeed and the main character seemed to have attracted more misfortune than a black cat crossing under a ladder.

Hold on, it just hit me: People worship Glass Mask? I mean... why?

This was so cool! After Glass Mask shoved me in a deep depression, I wowed to stop trying to track down acting manga, but this one was gorgeous! Even the art was great and not just by old-timey standards.

I loved the mystery many of the chapters had. Sure, the mysteries were pretty obvious at times, but all in all, I felt that it added a refreshing vibe to the subject.

Unfortunately, the ending was really rushed. It was as if the author tried to tie up all the loose ends in just one volume and had to rush through some really idiotic resolves.

I have to agree.  Buildup, suspense, then BLAM! Cinderella's coach does mach 2 and everything's neatly tied up in a few pages.  I loved the manga, but a denouement needs a bit of drama too.

Hm.  Ending was a little too pat for me, a bit less plausible than some of the earlier stories, feelings didn't come through as well, and then the romantic conclusion was so brief it barely registered--the boyfriend barely got a word in all chapter.  I felt like the big finale with the psycho rival didn't really get the emotional follow-through it deserved.  The buildup was big but then the actual showdown and denouement were rushed.

But it wasn't terrible--just not as rousing an ending as I would have preferred for this.

Thanks for this last update, Lila Wolves and KidCongo! Gokurousama!

shiho is a bit overpowered by now lol, all those friends and her bf is rich and influential. Who could oppose her now realistically speaking?

oh gosh, i got all excited at the end when chiomi was like "shiho is my woman" YEAH you tell them!

Thanks for the chapter!  Interesting.  Credit to her boyfriend IMO, not just sitting idly by.

Thanks for the new chapter, Lila Wolves.  I really love this manga.  As an acting manga, I rate it up there with Glass Mask.

PA is back \(^.^)/

thank god it wasn't dropped! uvu

I definitely hope that it won't be dropped as well. This is definitely not a kid's manga, and the author definitely loves movies and knows an incredible amount about them. It has a fascinating premise and is very well written. I have been hooked from reading the first chapter a couple of years ago. Doesn't matter if the art is old or what, it is well drawn and I also get tired of all the "handsome" male and beautiful female characters being stereotyped like a template.
This manga is just so amazing. I love it so much. I've reread it over and over again, still waiting for it to update =/ Now it's my 5th time reading it since I first found this amazing manga. I hope that it won't drop because we're so close to the end!
