Will I ever enjoy manga less than this, again?
Anime confirmed! Appears to be eight one-hour episodes by Studio Mappa.
Yes, the art is good and the it's got the big names on it and stuff, but I was not prepared for the emotional impact it had on me. These robots are killing my heart. Tezuka's stories always got to me, but coupled with Urasawa's artwork, man, it feels fresh and new and real. A must read for any Tezuka fan looking for something different, or just anyone in for a good, human sci-fi story.
Damn that was good!
i didn't like this manga
This was absolute genius.
i donĀ“t have words... symply amazing...
This is a masterpiece. There's no other way to describe it.
Anyone else reminded of The Silence of the Lambs when he visits the killer robot? Like when the investigator visits Hannibal Lecter?
No, this manga was written by urazawa but based loosely on Tezuka's Astro Boy manga. In fact, textual was in the grave when this was written... but probably not rolling around: urazawa did this piece justice!
The irony is, Tezuka aimed for equality on all levels; Humans, animals, robots, cysts, ghosts, celestials, and other existing and non-existing beings
in that sense, Naoki-san did just that. No, he expanded upon one of the greatest series and he made it into something no mere man should just pass off.
I wouldn't dare question that Naoki Urasawa-san would be one of the top mangaka on my list.
Definitely recommending it.
