Aimed at young girls because gender roles. Doesn't mean older and non girls can't enjoy it. But if you go by that logic a whole lot of Seinen would not be Seinen.
I didnt get it '=' (i think xD)
That has nothing to do with whether it's a shoujo or not: Nijiiro Days follows four male straight high school students and it's a shoujo. It's tagged that way presumably because of the magazine it's published in.
Why is it tagged shoujo? mc is male
To be honest, I was pretty sure it would definitely happen. I mean-
Also we keep up with Japan releases so we are surprised and disappointed as you.
You raised my hopes and dashed them splendidly, well done.
Sincerely,
very disappointed that chicken wings didn't become a cute poop machine...
[burton references intensify]
The Burton's characters multiply ~ :3c
And I got it thanks to you
About the fallen angel, you remember that angels and anything heaven-related seems to be extremely dangerous to monsters, right? Also this:
which brings me to these spoilers of future chapters
HEAVY SPOILERS!
Chicken wings seems like a very cute poop machine, I hope they keep it.
I don't think there's going to be any romance in this manga.
I mean, there are no romance tags, so we're safe for the moment, and the plot doesn't suit a lovey-dovey monster relationship. It feels like it has a different goal, and chapter 6 shows where this is going. Plus, I see no female characters in the cover, which seems suspicious in other way. It makes me think that this is shoujo just because there are pretty male characters who interact with each other, meaning, fujoshis strike again! (No yaoi or shonen-ai, though, just fanservice.)
Honestly, I really, REALLY hope they don't put on some bullshit like love triangles and stuff. I'm really okay with Red Riding Hood being so crazy in love with Wolf (she acts pretty much like I would act) but he flees everytime he sees her, making their scenes incredibly funny and not focused specially on romance. I
hopethink this is going to be more like Are you Alice? in that way. No romance and an interesting story to tell even if it's a little cliche, and this one is not cliche ^^I'm sorry if I just killed English~
most likely subtle hints of shonen ai.
(and what is very shoujo in this chapter? The last character? there are those in... well, at least one popular shounen too)
and chapter one rant:
and suddenly, i am reminded that this is a shoujo genre
should i expect romance, then love triangle and cucking-stupid-romance-with-new-introduced-character anytime soon?
or is this a full pack action shoujo?
I actually have all my finges crosses for Sweeney Todd to become a new fallen human here. I mean Chucky already appears on chapter 6.
He gets a bad rap. Doesn't anyone ever think of the poor working man?
All those working class Londoners, previously condemned to eating the worst meat pies in London (which in those days would have been pret-ty putrid), thanks to Sweeney feasting on top grade product.
This is....interesting. It has nothing to do with "Edward Scissor Hands" and Jack the Ripper is so far nothing like his namesake, but ignoring that this seems pretty good so far.
WOLFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Surely the barber should be Sweeney Todd?
An update! Things are going somewhere!
At first I thought the same as you: "No way, she's gotta be some kind of ghoul or so". Then, I looked again.
This might be a drafting mistake; she doesn't literally eat them. If you look at page 25, second panel, there are some old corpses on the bed which look like a bag of bones. I may be wrong but I assume they look like that because she drinks all of their blood instead of eating their meat. In page 27 she said she wanted her darling's blood instead of his meat (she did say he was delicious-looking though), and same in page 28. She was drinking Edward's blood when she was discovered and executed.
As I say, these may be only drafting mistakes, or I may be the wrong one here. Your choice~
Finally someone used "Edward Scissor Hands" for an manga plot!!
Or any other of a legion of man-eating monsters.
