!!! all the characters sounded familiar--Henry, Catherine, Mary, Edward, ELISABETH (not to mention the fact that Henry remarried numerous times!) This could not have been a coincidence so I googled this and came up with a conspiracy article on Queen Elisabeth the First:

I suppose this manga is very loosely based on this conspiracy (even the thing about the young boy playmate).
It's like Shounen Oujo without the comedy of Guy.
