Does anyone have any idea if the sequel is translated anywhere, wound up re-reading this recently and the ending messed me up.

Might be worth mentioning that Stu-Hiro drew a sequel of sorts to this manga revolving around Haru, Luka, and Souta being in a love triangle.  Nitta's kid (not sure who he gets with) and Saori are also in the same school club as they are.  Kanau makes an appearance as Souta's guardian of sorts.

If anyone wants to get that translated, the title on pixiv is おたくのトライアングル or Otaku no Triangle.  You can find it in the tag for this manga: おたくの娘さん

Can someone explain to me who's the kid at the end?

Ya know, the author should try some new tricks, and not use the "Oh, this is your child" trick over and over again...

Just finished reading it ... and it seems the ending is the win-win solution for them .. yeah it's true we can't always hope for the good ending, but an ending that end well for them ... great determination Morisaki-kun !

This manga is a solid read for those who want a thick slice of life story with actually character development.

Most (if not all) of the negative comments came from, apology my rudeness,

Spoiler

One of the very few manga I saved to re-read at later days.

Some people complain that getting bad for the latter half, but I 'm glad I finish this one.

i read this a while back, and was just randomly thinking about it today. i really liked this one despite a whole lot of gut wrenching moments. in fact i think i liked it in large part due to the gut wrenching moments. so many manga are all about fantasy and wish fulfillment, so it's kind of oddly refreshing when there's one that says "no, not all your wishes are gonna come true. that doesn't happen. you'll probably fuck most of it up. but maybe just maybe you can salvage one."

Kinda made me think of "Welcome to the NHK" (Youkoso ni NHK, I believe it's called).

I liked it... but, man.

It wasn't really a pleasant read. I ended up hating Nozomi early on and, to my surprise, my hate was totally justified.

I think my likening it to NHK is pretty appropriate, given the otaku-self-loathing that's so incredibly prevalent.

I want to say more, but all I can think to say is that I feel like a lot of the negative elements overshadow the positive elements. Very mixed feelings. : /

EDIT: OH! ONE LAST THING! MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT (significant spoiler):

Spoiler

great manga, but I ended up hating a lot of characters......

nice premise but completely f*cked up drama, i recommend reading up to Manager and sensei arc(this arc is already bad) and drop it or else  you will be disappointed and rage

Spoiler

wow, did not expect any of that. I think it really captured the essence of being a single unprepared parent.

His relationship with his senpai was messed up, bitter and he was constantly being made into a fool, but he doesn't regret any of that because of his daughter.

Divorcees with kids can probably relate.

hey I'm thinking of reading this but I get the impression it goes sort of Usagi drop style

so where would be the best place to stop and and not have my pleasant perceptions shattered

Nope. Luckily it's NOT like Usagui Drop. Keeo reading ;)

W-When did it happen? The boy, that is. lol

Nice series, btw.

[spoiler]When did they fuck to make the baby at the end?[spoiler]

Look closer...

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, ending is awful and about 2/3rds the way through the manga there is a bullshit twist that basically ruins everything before it.

yeah i died a little inside when i found out the land lady was married.
i hope there is a sequel, since when did he have another child? I NEED THE SEQUEL
maybe one of the most unlucky main character of manga ? of well, the mom sure is a bitch world class
the mom is a bitch -.-
Series got way too awkward after the chick he's been pining after is actually married....
[spoiler] I feel like something inside me died when they confess that the lands lady it's sensei's wife :/
