I normally like the mangaka's oneshots, but the first 3 chapters of the short story was annoying.
First, the characters were unlikeable already. Given annoying characters do exist in real life, I tried to look past that and view the execution and development instead.
The mangaka excels at oneshots because she doesn't have the time to put in the much dreaded drama and stupid brain freeze actions of the MC.
Her oneshots usually take it slow but gradual development that's believable in such a limited number of pages.
You would expect with three chapters she'd have more pages to further expand her oneshot, but instead she tried to cram as much drama a possible.
Because she added so much drama, 3 chapters were actually not enough to properly convey and develop the characters.
It felt rushed and choppy with so much drama and going back and forth between the characters. It wasn't believable why the guy one second coldly declared he didn't like her and the next page like her?
The female MC IS annoying, there's no denying it. Clingy, cries so much, too pushy, manipulative, INDECISIVE, CHILDISH, dumb.
She's literally the most annoying, WORST female protagonist I read.
She knows he's a devil, evil but still run toward him thinking it's like playing house and innocently holding hands. She wants him, but slaps him away when he comes onto her.
She knows he'll make her cry but doesn't think he can push her down forcefully.
She has no idea how he really is but blindly follows him because she's attracted to his smoldering look without glasses. Supreme shallow much?
With the terrible development, how is that love, it's just carnivorous physical attraction.
She's forceful in her feelings but become a terrified lamb when he turns forceful on her.
She's so unlikeable that the author tried to redeem her by having female MC being nice to his little brother and saved him from falling off the stairs.
Eh, no that won't redeem her and it's just contrived. magically the guy likes her. That's just pitying someone, that's not really liking them for who they are.
The author is better at her usual oneshot romances with something quirky in the end.
If she wanted to add drama, focus on one, don't try to cram so much in. Focus on radical characters from not liking to all of a sudden liking them. Such a big change in feelings need proper chapters and time to tell a good story. In this manga it makes no sense. If that were to happen, execution and development is key, and she failed.
Seeing how terrible her short story was, she should just stick to oneshots.
hahahahahahah e stato davvero divertente l'ultimo capitolo e anche molto romantico
the extra story was very cute!!!!!
I've read a few of Nanao Mio-sensei's works, and I remember liking them. But this one.... Not so much. (So far I've only read chapters 1-3 though.) The female lead annoyed me to no end. She had me thinking: "He rejected you! Don't force him to kiss you! Leave him alone already! Don't go to his school! Stop crying! GAH!"
I just had so many moments when I wanted to slap her. - _ -
Edit:
Okay, the last chapter was ADORABLE~~! <3 And the last two pages of the last chapter. If you don't read any other part of this manga, at least read that. It was awesome. xD Poor little Masato-kun~....
As for chapters 1-3, it's nothing extraordinary. It has it's funny moments. Male lead is such a tsundere.
Also, beware, chapter 2's pages are out of order:
