I see it now.
No wonder Hirose Mai's design had a little bit similarity with Kohaku from Dr. Stone. Both mangas are drawn by Boichi.
Edit : Choosing a more appropriate words.
He also did a spin-off prequel about that Russian commander guy in Terra for Mars. https://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/terra-formars-gaiden-asimov-r18927
Alternatively, you can just click on the artist's link here and it'll show you all his works. =/
And to answer your question, I think this one oughta be fine, no references to past 2 works so far. Though the look of the enemy robot faction leader looks awfully familiar.
Of course, each series can be read independently but the others add some depth. In Origin, the transcontinental railway that gave birth to the world we can see in the manga was a project from Hirosue from HE the Hunt for Energy with her company AEE (which became the biggest in the world in Origin) and financed by Ken from Sun-Ken Rock.
How much do the other series add? Like I'm sure I'll read them eventually, but is it fine to stick with this one without reading the others?
Yeah, what could possibly be inside a huge trailer....
A mouse robot with a giant ego.
And also Wallman & Sun-Ken Rock
"Fuck humanity, I'm gonna rescue this cute girl". And thus, he has obtained a human soul.
TIL it's a sequel to H.E.

Boichi knows his sci fi stuff and action sequence. He's truly one of the best artist out there.
Just binge read all of this. As usual Boichi manages to combine gorgious art with an interesting and surprisingly deep premise.
Is it licensed? There's already 18 chapters on the other site
Check Boichi's site (boichi (dot) com) out for more info!
As long as the ratings are good, I think it will be a smooth ship.
Will it continue publishing or it goes on hiatus/axe because Boichi is starting new series with Eyeshield 21 guy (writer, not Murata) in WSJ soon?
Cover 01!!
A thing to listen while reading.

Guess I oughta read Wallman first then, eh? And the end of Sun-Ken... Gotta love it!
Nahh, it's just the newest Extreme sport:
Yes, it's in the same world as Sun-Ken Rock, Wallman and HE the hunt for energy. Origin takes place 30 years after the events of SKR/Wallman
So kicking someone in the crotch means you love them?
i dont follow Boichi but is this his latest work after SKR and Wallman?
With the last chapters the series has becoming really interesting. Much better than Wallman or the rushed ending arc of Sun Ken Rock.
