The Kingdom of Granza is steadily building up its power and expanding its realm. Fleeing from the attack on her home, Faana and her companions hide in the woods, hoping to escape from the Granza Military. However, as her group is hunted down, Faana is the only one fortunate enough to escape alive. Half-dead, she somehow manages to travel several kilometers to the Kingdom of Cordeaa, where she passes out in a lake. Upon awakening three days later, she is surprised to find herself inside the castle of King Yogufu, the ruler of Cordeaa. Faana is even more surprised though, when she meets his daughter, Princess Orfina - the two girls are identical strangers. The two become fast friends, but this period of happiness doesn't last long as Granza soon advances its power into Cordeaa... |

I supported CMX (DC comics) by buying legit, but they bailed like with so many other companies that tried to cash in on the manga uprising in early 2000, now I wish someone would pick up the torch for this series and the sequel
every time I read Upotte I'm reminded of this older work done by the author
Yeah, 12 volumes in the original manga, plus another 8 in the follow-up called Orfina Saga. CMX did pick up the first series but only released 8 volumes (which only covered the first 6 volumes of the manga).
looks like a rather long-running series, unfortunate about the lack of love in translation =/
this is really good, wish it'd get picked up again.
