Gay much with a loser MC even worse than those harem MCs.
Even the harem MCs manage to get at least a girl but what? A Man lives in his bathtub?
He should at least threaten him to eat him[and gain immortality] or sell him to some scientific facility[and rake in some cash] if the merman doesn't give him his sister(s) as a bride(or at least introduce him to some mermaids...). I mean even if having a greedy mc is a bad thing, there is definetly sth wrong with a mc who's having a naked guy by his side.
This deserves the Shounen Ai tag at least for the setting, even if there might be no &^^)(*#%
