This was supposed to have a 'stronger' female MC, and there's nothing wrong with her realistically.
She's strong, likes fixing cars and is a nice helpful friendly girl. She even goes "killing machine" when she gets angry.
But manga wise, she's so boring, even WITH her 'killing machine' persona - which I feel is more an add-on that doesn't add much to the humor. I mean obviously it's meant for added humor but fell flat for me.
I think it has to do with how the mangaka draws her. She still looks/acts every bit as weak and too nice like most shoujo girls.
I mean realistically, who would want to date a mean, messy, rude, loude, crude girl correct? No one in real life.
It's just in a manga, I find it incredibly BORING if theres no slight humor or quirks in the female's personality. Most of the time, being too nice and docile just doesn't work for me in a manga.
Her "killing machine mode" was meant to balance out the 'nice weak looking girl' mode, but honestly, it wasn't well done. If anything it felt oddly stuck there for decoration and was awkwardly executed.
It just didn't mesh well with her usual character.
The overall manga's tone is too serious/boring and you have her "killing machine" and the guy's "superhuman strength" sticking out like a Sore Thumb in this otherwise insipid room temperature manga.
If you want something better by Shiraishi Yuki, check out her other work "Ojou-sama no Himitsu" which imo, is heaps better and more focused (not as all over the place/messy) than this.
Skip, unless you have a lot of time to waste.
This really reminds me of Beast Master
Also it's nice to see a story where the rich super elite school team the dogged underdogs from the troubled school went up against is still made up of decent people.
I think it's a sweet love with a great message.
Awwww, who's the cutest little killing machine around? You are, Nozomi-chan! Yes, you are! Yes, you are! (hug, pat, hug)
(I agree with Dousirou about the cover, though.)
*The chapter 3 extra IS AWESOME LOL. Fear the sisters.*
i really liked this manga. Enjoy reading it
