What is MangaPlex?
Thank you for these three chapters. Sadly, they'll probably the last ones we'll be able to read on Batoto
And damn, just when the whole setting of the series is more interesting than ever. Secret agent Yuurin on a personal mission, a palace divided, a family feud, all those people's reactions to a court without the consort... and someone tried to disguise three girls as Yuurin? Crazy.
Hey folks, just heard about the closing of batoto on Jan 18th. We do have three chapters coming your way within two weeks, but it looks like batoto will no longer be able to host our chapters. We will continue to post the downloads on our website and start posting images elsewhere in the meantime. I'm pretty crushed, it's an end of an era.
EDIT: We are moving to use MangaDex!
It was so good to see the situation from the king's perspective in a meaningful way. Also, the overview of the court: they basically summed up the king's backstory, and minister Ryuu's and minister Han's respective approaches to the whole "consort" issue. And now things are getting more and more problematic, especially with that final cliffhanger...
Definitely, this volume 11 has been my favourite so far by a large margin.
After reading chapters 57 and 58, I can help but think about how much Yuurin has changed.
One of the sources of comedy of the series was witnessing Yuurin missing the point, having her naivety clash with the inner workings of the court, and being oblivious about what her real position (not the position she thinks she's in) entails, with the usual outbursts of hilarious embarrassment. But here she looked positively mature, more perceptive of the situation and aware of her feelings and desires, and proud. She even dared to be a bit emotionally selfish (twice!). And her eyes clearly saw that the king's pedestal is not always as perfect as it may seem. He's human, and fallible, and oblivious, and stupid too from time to time.
What I want to say is... Come on, you're perfect for each other! XD (I'm definitely enjoying the drama, though; if this is going to be the climax, the pacing of the events is perfect)
I'm okay. I'm totally not crying. I'm okay. Everything is fine.
Waaaaaah :'(
My plot predictions have been way off lately. I can't believe it's the old
gag.
I'm not supposed to have feelings! I'm a freaking bug!
But that parting of ways made me tear up.
Ooo, what a development! My guess is
:Loligagging with heirs in the installation of a new regime is common since heirs invite factions. We can kill the king if we have child that can be crowned and then regent to rule in place. regencies were not uncommon in that era.
NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO! I was creepily laughing from
"I don't care about your circumstances at all. So hurry it up, will ya? Hurry up and make love already!"
I love that old geezer XD
Damn, that cliffhanger, though. Is the series approaching the climax?
One of the greatest English monarchs ever avoided marriage for the whole of a very long reign (I speak, of course, of Gloriana, Elizabeth I). As a woman, she was even more likely to be murdered for refusing to marry, and the Elizabethan era was full of treachery and regicidal plots, yet she got away with it. LOTS of kings took a while to marry; the need for succession was balanced by the time needed to arrange the best political match.
But in this guy's case, he's young, and as far as most of the court is concerned he IS married and perfectly likely to sire children at some point reasonably soon, so what in hell are you talking about?
Remember the backstory: there was a succession crisis after the death of the previous king. Reishou is currently ruling because he quelled the rebellion. The court might hate him, but he has the military behind him. That's why he uses his "Wolf King" fame to scare everyone into obedience.
Pffft, like that's going to happen.
The irony: the nobles think that the king is little by little losing interest in his consort, and that it will soon be time for changes in that matter, while the actual relationship between those two is getting closer and closer.
Hahahaha So funny... Pft. Every time he freezes I can't help but to laugh about it. XD But... Ominous winds are blowing... I hope they don't break up D:
TTuTT Thank you scanlators, so so so much
Uwahhh~~~ So happy >///< They are just so cute!
"At that time, I hired just a plain common girl".
Rijun, Rijun, how long until you face reality? Given his backstory, a "plain common girl" would have more success at getting His Majesty's love than any delicate flower from the nobility. You screwed up. And everything's better because of it XD
And talking about noble ladies, something tells me that the mother of the king's brother may be involved in the dark merchant's dealings. After all, if the king dies, who's the next in line?
Uh oh! They are both in loooooove
Aaaa so happy! Thanks so much all the scanlators that have gotten us this far!
