In the sense that there are villages that do old Shinto cleansing rituals and stuff every year, to maintain tradition, have fun, and maybe draw in a tourist or two? Very probably, I expect a few. Heck, the whole schtick at some of the summer fairs you see so often in shoujo manga, where along with the booths and the fireworks they may also have a bunch of guys carrying a shrine thing and the taiko drumming and maybe some shrine maidens dancing and all that--same basic kind of deal.
In the sense that kami really show up? I have my doubts.
does some village like this actually exist?

shinto is a very interesting religion.
Cute, but eerie if you think about it.
