Rather amusing that people were complaining about it being tagged seinen, someone just called it a "shoujo version" of something, and it's currently tagged josei (which I seriously doubt it actually is).
Whatever else this thing is, maybe it should be tagged "genre-bender".

Its kinda refreshing to see a girl that is the perverted one and going straight for the boy she loves in a literally Direct attack.
I see where you're coming from, but actually seinen, jousei, shoujo, & shounen are demographic tags, not content-type tags. Of course, each demographic has a type of content you usually find in its manga, and we'll use those tag names as shorthand (for example, "shoujo-like seinen") to discuss content without having to go into detail each time. However, those words as genre tags tell us what section of the market the manga was published in, not why and not that the manga conforms to a certain stereotype.
tl;dr:
If the publisher puts the manga title in a magazine or in a line of books aimed at being sold to seinen (mature meles), then even if the manga is pure adolescent crap, the tag should still be seinen.
Groaning when selecting the seinen tag is, of course, permitted.
She should wait at least until 9000 confessions before changing tactics.
Techinically a 'mature shoujo' is josei.
