You thought right. Besides, the extra chapter was intended only as that - an extra, if you're willing to pay for it.
I still think subtle endings to shounen romances should be banned until the dudes show some aptitude for subtlety. I mean, Hase wasn't the worst, but I still can't quite trust him with this.
But yeah ok, this is better.
Pre-postscript:
Indeed.
So this is your Christmas gift to us?!?
I must say... I'M NOT AMUSED!!!
T.T
Still really a freaking cliff-shi*-axed. BLABLABLABLA!
Damn irritated af!
Wasn't this epilogue something only added to the volume release? I could've swore it never went into the magazine, which would make it effectively the ending for the magazine readers. I might be thinking of a different series though.
And we totally appreciate it that you made it. Thanks, it was a nice read
It's calling the penultimate chapter the "ending" because you don't have access to the final chapter, and all things considered, that's not really fair to any series... not that the readers have any fault in this though: it's mainly a result of the community's incorrectly noting an "unfinished" series as "complete". All and all though, that's super unjust to the work.
I just want to get that point across since that was my primary motivation in doing all this in the first place.
Well, in all fairness, the previous "ending" was crap in the concluding context. This one is better, since we can actually see a clear intent from her this time, making sure that time for them to be alone is also something she desires. But I've never been a fan of the less than definitive stuff in the first place. A kiss or something would've blown me away into a puddle of happy goop. Even a hug. But I digress, I still loved this series.
ahh~ after hearing her last last request, i'm totally satisfied.
knowing i can't get enough, looking forward for another after story if possible XD
great thanks for anons to answer my very long curiosity
ahhh~ I've been waiting for this. Finally the manga is complete. THX!
Epilogue is a distinct improvement. I can work with that.
Thanks, pancakepop, this made my Boxing Day.
Indeed, thank you very much pancakepop!
To all the people who made inaccurate or misleading unmarked-spoilery insinuations or even assertions over the years... XP
Fair warning: Sadly, that appears to include just now.
XP
Nice epilogue. Sad to see them split up though.
Definitely seems like it. That line she uses at the end seems to have that connotation in a lot of other manga.
Well, one year later to the day, and an anon transcribed the epilogue. (Thx Anon!)
The anime ended up being stronger in feels. I was expecting a heart breaking or truly heart warming situation but it ended up being quite mild. I would still recommend it, but then i would recommend the anime XD
It was a good couple of years, thanks Sense-Scans!!
Well, that seems to be the case for so many modern "romantic" slice-of-life stories.
I think the implication is that they're set up to eventually start going out - Hase failing to get his words out isn't meant to seem like a complete shutdown on their romance. There's nothing cruel about this kind of ending; I just don't think it's particularly fitting to this author's style to be so upfront about it.
Basically.. he is just a masochist...
Good, there's some hope left.
Omake from tankobon left.
gahh, the friendzone!
no matter where we go, are we even safe?
This mangaka seems allergic to sealing the deal. Look at the paper plane one.
