there was no yaoi in this it's just shounen-ai lol still pretty good though

I just had this feeling he would be ! 
OH EM GEE. I read this yesterday, and I just realised.
Hoshi is the kid of the bodyguard, and (from http://vatoto.com/read/_/153744/omamorishimasu-dokomademo_v1_ch6_by_september-scanlations/31 we can probably safely say) kid of the one who sent the balloon. And Hoshi was supposed to be the one who would write to him and be his friend. Which is why he's so attached to Chihiro. And Akira came in a messed it all up, and half-assed his way out, so he was mildly pissed.
(although everything ended well, so its okay)
I really liked this one, it was really sweet.
