lol, now you know my age ? xD

But We are agree on one thing at least I have no standards, I will read and enjoy whatever I find fun and entertaining.

You clearly know how to write properly which means you're at least above the age of eight which means you should start looking for something more than characters defineable by a single word. Just saying you should grow up a bit of a taste instead of being part of the problem that affects literary trends in this society.

>crappy

The art can be pretty eye-pleasing at times. Page flow is fine and unencumbered.

>edgelord

No? Demon lord played straight. Antagonist POV played straight

>transparent

What? Do you know what that means? Transparency would mean there's some underlying deception or manipulation that the author is trying get passed, however to no avail.

>revenge-fantasy

Again, what? The main character isn't getting revenge. Unless you've personally been bullied by the princess of a small medieval country, then I doubt there's any sort of revenge-fantasy going on.

This is just demon lord played straight. Gratuitous, mindless, and unapologetic sadism and gore. It's an antagonist POV and isn't being subtle about it. It's not trying to pass itself off using some garbage sophistry and calling the protagonist an antihero. You read this for a cheap thrill. It's like a fantasy version of how Wolfsmund was before Wolfram died.

Use your meme buzzwords for shit like Re:Monster or something. This manga isn't a shoot off from the whole reincarnation self-insert trends, these kind of antagonist POV senseless gore crap has been around since the days of Fist of the Blue Sky. If anything this is toned down.

It's just cheap entertainment and has nothing to do with the recent lack of imagination in the fantasy genre of late.

> Art shouldn't be pleasing at times, but constantly. There's something called consistency. On chapter 2 the flow of the story seems a bit messy.

>Yes, edgelord. Antagonists fight for something not for the sake of it and have more substance than: I'm evil, because I'm evil. And demon lord played straight? Bitch, you clearly are talking shit. Do you know what is a demon lord played straight? Go read lucifer (THE demonlord who inspired all these japanese manga whom aren't basing themselves on japanese folklore-which this one isn't) and Morgoth. In both cases there's more than EVUL! in there: both morgoth and lucifer wanted to be god but were unable to and that led them to resent creation in a sense and want it for themselves. They are unable to emulate god, then they'll take god's place in what he made. Also, their modus operandi wasn't: I'm bored so let's wreck the place. Their first and foremost weapon was deceipt! Lucifer (which in quite a few circles is also known as the great deceiver) tempted Eva to eat the apple while Morgoth fooled Ungoliant to destroy the trees. While Morgoth had the orcs ("brainwashed" elves)  there weren't but cannonfodder for his true force which were the convered Maia he had brought to his cause. They were magnificent bastards with more brains than brawn. That you compare this scenery chewing mindless beast is an insult to what is a demon lord, specially since he somehow manages to be less interesting than a brick.

> on transparent:

transparent adjective (OBVIOUS)

clear and easy to understand or recognize:

Do you know what it means? Nowhere does it say that there must be some manipulation/deception, only that you recognize it with ease. If you want to school people on semanthics please talk with a dictionary at hand instead out of your ass.

> Go read the very first page of this manga (not counting of course the title and index, I mean the first page of the story): this is an intelligent, strong athletic, very tall, handsome and with "meatholes" (so he doesn't even see women as beings) individual whom can get away even of the most reviled acts in human society. This is clearly the power fantasy of a social outcast who is spewing his hatred on said society (represented in a fantasy setting) with an over-idealized self-insert! The princess can be anyone: from the japanese equivalent of a jock to a popular girl, etc.

You yourself said it: it's a cheap thrill. Cheap being the keyword. It's not worth reading this garbage. It doesn't even give us a decent villain protagonist (which is the word you should be using, BTW).

Who keeps doing these crappy edgelord transparent revenge-fantasy series? You're just announcing that all those women whose touch you'll never know are making a wise decision, and the gene-pool owes them a debt of gratitude.

Too much popcorn, lol xD
Also, don't forget that in comparison with our history, MC is not too bad anymore.
Just a couple of examples:"Kill them all! Surely the Lord discerns which ones are his"Most cities were destroyed and entire populace was enslaved or massacred. The nation decreased in half.Trail of tears.
And nowadays nothing really changed. Strong is always right.

That first one never happened, not as you're alluding to it anyway (the incident in question was actually a rebellion by underpaid troops, involved reprisals for a massacre committed by the victims, and certainly featured no such order being given - again, REBELLION by the troops). And the second is probably only HALF as bad as claimed, because lazy historians used "reductions between Chinese censuses" as a substitute for knowing actual death-tolls, never mind that you also stop counting territory that you LOSE, that's not the same thing as the inhabitants being dead.

And seriously, listing the Trail of Tears (c. 30,000 dead) or Albigensian Crusade (c. MAYBE 5000-15,000 dead, probably more like 3000) with the Mongol Conquests (c.12 million dead, by realistic estimates) or Armenian Genocide (1.5 million)? Those first two aren't in the top THOUSAND atrocities we apes have committed. There's the Zulu Mfecane (2 million in 25 years), the Congo Free State under Leopold II of Belgium (c. 5 million in a couple of decades), two separate 19th century incidents under the Qing Dynasty that each killed 25 million people in under a decade (i.e. the same death toll as the First World War, TWICE), and, of course, the Holocaust, Stalin (particularly the Ukrainian Famine), and Mao (especially the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution).

Imperial Japan killed roughly at the same rate as the Congo Free State, mostly Chinese people (so, a tiny fraction of Mao's kill-rate, but we can't expect the PRC to admit THAT). Churchill killed about 3 million people in India by deliberately refusing DONATED FOOD during a famine, and his predecessors killed about one million people in Ireland by not letting the Irish grow (or at least KEEP) crops other than potatoes.

Too much popcorn, lol xD

Ah... Kakeru a.k.a BAR-PEACHPIT, a hentai mangaka, for the story that's why mmm...

Well, considering you, at your age, have no issue with characters with the same level of depth as the red riding hood on a long running series, I'd say it's clear you've got no standards no whatsoever. Now, feel free to enjoy this fresh dump, take my part too if you want!

lol, now you know my age ? xD

But We are agree on one thing at least I have no standards, I will read and enjoy whatever I find fun and entertaining.

Since when we live in a society where evil is encouraged to succeed? Especially such over-the-top, cartoonish, nonsensical and unamusing villainy like the one in this manga. This is Maou no Hajimekata all over again. And it is annoying, it's power fantasy badly done. I feel bad when the bad guy wins, I feel bad when the heroes fall and the gentle ruler is murdered. It's rending when innocents pay just because of some fantasy jerk who toys with lives for no good reason. Years ago it could have been justified as a "breath of fresh air", but that time is long gone. Villain protagonists exist, and have become annoyingly common.

Why is there a market for stories such as this one? It sends a horrible message to the reader. It becomes "lol, why weren't you born a winner, you suck." while being treated to this medieval story of a jock having zero comeuppance for his actions. Sure there are some half assed tries to humanize him "B-but he's a good ruler, his maid is his morality pet" which only serve to enrage me more.

I get the self insert, power play crowd. I really do. But do any of you guys seriously want to self insert as that? That's why I'm annoyed, they're taking us as edgy fanfic writing tweens, which no doubt some of us disgracefully are. As bland as most MCs are, at least they have the whole "nice" thing going for them, which is good. You need to be "nice" to function in society. But media like this just celebrate evil behaviour for the sake of it. It's gross, it's unrealistic, it's honestly frightening that people in the comments are going like "yeah, let him conquer the world". Because it's something we haven't seen before? The fuck?!

And don't come at me with. "Hurr, if you don't like it, don't watch it", because as I've mentioned before, this is becoming a trend. We didn't speak up during Love Hina and we had almost a decade of spineless, infuriating MCs surrounded by doormats and bitches. We didn't speak up during SAO and now we have the cancer that is the isekai genre, which I honestly loved before as my name can attest. I've seen my beloved childhood anime heroes who took a stand for justice and who helped me become the man I'm today being degraded into self serving jerks and now into the villains I cheered when they were vanquished. These are probably my last years when I can like anime without feeling old, and I don't want them to be tainted with this edgy demon lord crap.

It's kind of pointless though for non Japanese to speak up on random place in internet, moreover in English. It won't affect whatsoever about what Japanese people will make.since it's not getting trough them at all. Unless you're using Japanese as a language to actively writing your cause to Japanese people in a media relevant with Japanese otaku culture. You're barking up the wrong tree.

And no I'm not opposing the content of your cause, as I also share some sentiment with you on this manga that this manga is kind of fail. It's just your rant that non Japanese have to speak up implying if we do it will change feels out of place. Speak up? Where? To whom? How? The only realistic option non Japanese can take is to not buying their products, but in the first place niche manga like this won't get licensed out of Japanese. And even just in case if it's licensed and it fails in non Japanese market, they will simply cut it down and relying solely on Japanese market.

Because the audience has and always will suck.

Contrary to popular belief, manga is not as popular as you'd think. Other than the mega mangas, the manga industry is very niche and relies heavily on fads. In a few years, 'being outright evil' will stop being trendy and the industry will move onto something else.

That said, I didn't even read either chapter. I just looked at the first two pages of chapter one (christ, the art is ugly), immediately and correctly guessed chapter two (/sigh) and stopped reading.

Well thats the most edgelord bunkum i've read in a while.

First of all I didn't take a defense for the mangas, just stating what's good or bad is for up to him decide.

yes the MC is one-dimensionnal but so what? I like it

How many villains did we see who have some reasons to be "bad"? good reasons or bad reasons? It's for anyone to judge it.

Seeing at least on guy to be direct about what he do and want  is fresh for me.

Yours standards don't apply to me as long as I find a mangas or movie a novel etc entertaining and I like it's good for me.

I read One piece, Berserk, Sanctuary Kozure Oogami etc... because the plot development  and I find them fun to read, I read many others  mangas who don't have much plot development like them.

I don't have to follow some standards each time I want read a mangas neither I think all mangas must have a deep plot and whatnot.

My only requirement for a mangas is to be interesting and this one is.

Okay, I must say it: Bravo.

Cheers on making the most balls to the wall retarded defense of a series ever!

There's something called standards to which one can gauge things. Does a story have tension? Does it have character development (and I don't mean devolvement, which in by itself is a bad sign!)? Etc.

This story has no tension, it's totally predictable (I fucking got right the outcome of chapter 2 just by looking the first two pages). The characters are mere cardboard cut-outs: we have generic hero (destined to fail), generic "loyal to the death servants" and the worst thing is that even the abomination this story calls MC is another cardboard cutout. So yeah, he's evil... and? Luffy had more character development in chapter 1 of One Piece than him. This thing is just plain boring and inefficient in its page usage: it's an utter waste.

Also, there's something called opinions. In our society, as shocking must be for you, we are allowed to freely express said opinions. Going by your logic who are you to say this is actually good? Who are you to tell them. huh? If you can't handle someone saying he doesn't like or thinks something isn't good please check a book on how to mature. And really, please do grow a brain: how I'm supposed to not like something if I don't know I'm not liking it? I cannot just pick a hardcover, touch it with the temple of my head and say: Hmm... seems a solid plot with a good development for the lead and sidecharacters.

If you don't like a mangas don't read it.Period

There is many mangas which I don't like but I don't go tell people it's a bad mangas or some BS like that.

Probably the worst thing I've read this year, and that includes some really bad web novels. Didn't even bother with the second chapter. I wonder if author's like these are simply venting. If that's the case, then I must applaud their ability to make money out of it.

I understand you don't like this manga, but there is no benefit in making a personal attack on the author. Things like that make people less likely to take your post seriously.

it's not about being cliche or typical, it's about being a good or bad series.  one dimensional power fantasies happen to fit in the bad series, saying "well it's different!" doesn't mean it's good

cringefests like this should be saved for the realm of "web novels," where shit like this is expected

So we catched up to the JP releases? Cant wait for the next XD

Nah...

Just couple years ago I tried to translate this into Russian and my motivation ran low on the 3rd chapter. And recently I remembered about this and decided to retranslate it into English. It's not hard to edit old pdf's...

Regarding JP releases, there are at least 4 volumes (and Cécile best girl).

It's not supposed to be deep. Just a good ol fashion demon lord. Which frankly just doesn't appear in any media. Everyone tries to put some retarded twist or nuance to make the demon lord somewhat sympathetic. Nobody just plays it straight anymore, which is what makes this one fresh. In fact, playing it straight has become less cliche than those retarded "sympathetic big bad"s. I'm so tired of these antagonist POV being ruined by shoehorned apologetics. I'm just happy to read an antagonist POV that actually feels like one. It doesn't need to be deep, these kinds of things are for you to revel in the sadism. That's why Wolfsmund went to shit after Wolfram died.

WELP YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS
ULTIMATE GG

Second chapter. Dunno if there will be more...

Yeah, quality of my translations is not good, should have write this in the first comment. Oh well, it's just a teaser anyway, and I think it's enough for introduction.

Also, hagenobaka volunteered to fix my bad English, so at least English sentences got better.

p.s. Horror tag? Srsly? What's so scary here? For me personally, it's more like a comedy.

Thanks! Really enjoying this series :D

Horrid.
Alright, here's a summary for those deciding whether or not to pick it up: - translation quality- poor - Art style - up to personal interpretation - (strange/unique/amateurish) - Story- too early to tell - Strengths - evil MC. - Cons - evil solely for the sake of being evil, there's no depth to be found here. The setting's lack of depth is so severe, it's practically two dimensional! Flesh out the world a bit more, author! He has the ability to see one's potential and assign them to a role practicwlly tailor made for each individual, which is mentioned once, and any then thought of it is tossed out the window. His charqctr is much too simple to be able to properly make use of auch ability, and is indicative of the author's storywriting capabilities.
