Came back to read this again after a while, but I couldn't help but feel something wasn't right.  Then I remembered after reading mangaka's notes at the end that Ogeha didn't have backhair anymore.

I know it was only one picture of concept art, but I really did like her backhair...

Who read this because it spelled ahego backwards

Yeah, this reminded me a lot of Saya no Uta. In a good, why-am-I-turned-on-by-this-shit kind of way, of course!

I'm still not sure about the intention of the author in making a protagonist like Kiji in the story (was it about the character development? Cuz I didn't really felt it tbh), or where the narrative was supposed to go, nevertheless half the time reading I had to stop or skip a few pages because I'm not good with seeing defenseless living beings being abused (with no apparent purpose besides making the reader feel bad). But I like the visuals and theme so there's that (also things like what the author related about his teacher talking about life but asking him to kill cockroaches anyway are pretty interesting).

Either way, the ending was a breath of relief. A really unexpected breath of relief (seriously was this the ending he had in mind since the beginning? Or maybe his editor implored him to make something digestible? With all the "all humans are trash" repeated constantly which wasn't rebuked but kinda reconfirmed through the series, that felt like quite the 180º.)

i love it, there is an omake about ogeha eating sandwich after chapter 10 iicr....

I really loved this weird, cute, creepy little love story.

I also love all the notes the mangaka left at the end, he seemed to really enjoy making this story.

For being so short I was surprised it actually ended giving me a sense of closure. This'll definitely be a manga I suggest to people in the future.

I'm gonna miss that emotionally distant sociopathic boy and that adorably naieve murderous alien girl.

this series ended like it run, with the impact of a moist dirty rag. could have been better

I kind of wanted to see her lay Kiji's eggs too.

I'd suggest you play Saya no Uta if you're into this. ;)

Teh end.

A nonsensical ending to a nonsensical story.

I kind of wanted to see her lay Kiji's eggs too.

There's a doujin for that... Somewhere, eventually.

*Holds 50$ behind his back*

Oh, and that's an interesting way to play the Wii...

I kind of wanted to see her lay Kiji's eggs too.

I'm glad at the end hes still confused about what Ohega is

lol i like how even the author thinks kiji is fucked up, especially with reference to the Miki girl's taste in men.

If I didn't have lepidopterophobia, I would've fapped to this already.

Well.

That was not what I was expecting.

Thank you so much guys! This is really an great comic! T___T♥

But I was promised awkward interspecies bug sex

You know I was kind of kidding, manga...

But... go on...

ahem.. the obligatory

Cat is fine too...

It's hilarious to claim others are bad at arguing based on no evidence whatsoever, then writing a post based solely on character assasination.Let's sort this out. First of all, if you go back to the first page of comments. I've been saying about the same thing including that he's completely and utterly messed up since the very beginning. So that entire accusation goes right out of the window.

Secondly, you and your ilk are desperate, absolutely desperate to make this about Kiji. IT IS NOT. It was never about Kiji. The reason you try to do so is because you need someone as messed up as him to even remotely have a chance of arguing in favour of Ogeha and the aliens. Who are very much the ones who initiated the violence to begin with.

The wild animal defense doesn't apply to them, they're beings capable of reasoning and posessing human levels of intelligence. They are very much aware of what they're doing. Your own argumentation in their defense could be used upon anyone and any actions to justify it as it's purely reflexive relativism that argues no good or evil exists even as an imaginatory construct.

You basically at no point provided any kind of proper argumentation, your entire post is nothing but personal attacks and some relativism sprinkled in for good measure with you at the end pretending you somehow disproven what others have said, whiyh you have very much not. You and a bunch of other people here are misantrophes, being unaware of it doesn't really change that at all.

That word doesn't mean what you think it means. I don't know where you keep getting that I'm arguing in favor of Ogeha, when I honestly couldn't give a rat's ass about her, I'm more interested in the bigger picture. You and I agreeing that he's messed up doesn't make the point any less valid. He's an outlier. I don't care about him, either, he's just a kid pulling wings off butterflies.

I don't get why you're lumping me with Ogeha defenders. I don't see myself arguing in her favor, nor have I argued against humans. I just said a living creature doing what it needs to survive is natural, and therefore I wouldn't reproach it. I'm not disengaging them from rational thought, and them being rational doesn't make them any less a living creature. Are you telling me you don't eat? Are you telling me you wouldn't eat if you had to kill to do it? And, if you are, are you also telling me that to do otherwise is irrational? I'm not saying good and evil do not exist, I'm saying they're non-applicable to Ogeha in particular at the moment she was inside the egg. I don't think the aliens knew about processed food, and even if they did, would they have risked the egg's health by feeding it instead of letting it do its own thing? I don't get where you're getting that I'm attacking you, but I'm not surprised, since it's almost the only thing you've been doing. I don't get where you're getting that I dislike humans or anything of the sort. It's the other way around. I don't believe in gods, fate, karma or anything of that ilk, only in humans. But I also recognize that in nature, there is no good or evil when it comes to the act of survival. And, who really initiated the violence? The egg was just eating until somebody ripped it open. Sure, it ate a human or two, but there's a clear, definitive difference in intent. What would've happened if Ogeha had actually matured? Maybe the end of the planet. Doesn't make Kiji a hero for stopping her.

And you keep making this NOT about Kiji. Kiji is tied to this intrinsically. You can't remove him from this as much as you can't remove Ogeha or her companions. He's a fucked up kid. She's a fucked up monster. I don't see the problem here. I don't see the need to argue in favor or against any of them. They're just acting as their particular motives guide them. It just so happens Ogeha's motives are less self-serving at an intellectual level. That's only natural, because she's not as mature as Kiji. I honestly cannot for the life of me see what you think I'm trying to prove or disprove, other than the fact that I'm not arguing in favor of the aliens, or anyone else, for that matter.

??? Which manga are we talking about again?

You really need to get off your high horse. I never said I hated or disliked people. Second of all, I honestly am not rooting for or defending anything here. Also, you really are bad at this whole argument thing. Nobody was talking about her race in general. And it's really easy for you to talk all this crap now, when the story's almost over, rather than when we were still in the very early chapters.

Just because he's an unintentional hero doesn't make him any less of a broken human being. Look at him, look at his behavior. Look at his family. Actually look. He's not a normal guy. He's not even right in the head most of the time. Nobody is saying Ogeha is good. Using the Lion's example, I wouldn't let him eat me or a family member, I just wouldn't reproach him for trying. It's in his best interest to try and eat me for survival, it's in mine to repel or kill him for mine. It's not hate, it's just survival. Ogeha was trying to survive. The kid was just being a selfish, possessive little shit. His dad seems pretty cool, if neglectful, his mom seems like the obsessive type. His friends seem normal enough. A kid pulls legs off of ants. Sure, maybe he doesn't know better, but it's a dick move, because it stems out of morbid curiosity. This is what it boils down to, a kid pulling wings off of butterflies, just because he can. There's a big difference between "being able to", and "being required to". You're just glossing over it for your convenience. Before you call me a misanthrope, learn some reading comprehension, as you obviously lack it.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'll be completely satisfied with an ending in which the earth is invaded.

In all honesty. You guys need some help. Your misanthropy is on a level where an alien bug thing with tits slapped on that kills and eats people which you excuse as "not being out of malice!!111oneoneleven" is more sympathetic than humans in general.

Especially the last few chapters, especially with them talking about feeding her more and having her grow and lay eggs seems to be imply that this is in fact an invasion. They're not animalistic, they're intelligence is at least remotely in the same level as humans are. They very much know what they're doing. The only reason Ogeha isn't acting like them is because she was interrupted during her early stages of developement and thus appears to be stunted for now which the others plan to fix.

If you go with the "it just so happens" and "wouldn't call it evil" excuse you have to apply it to him aswell. It just so happened that he could interrupt her growth and he wasn't doing it out of malice but solely because he could and "wouldn't call it evil". Thus unintentionally foiling what increasingly seems to be pretty bad for humans in general.
