I concur, however I do know they have other projects they are working on and Odin is relatively new.
Just having played around with simple cleaning and typesetting I really do appreciate Lone Manga's work.
I dont mean to sound ungrateful,i really apreaciate the translators work, but when can we get more?i ask because i checked the raws and it apears there quite a lot more chapters,so can we least get some sort of release date for new chapters?once again thx for all the hard work
Fenrir is cool. Hope we see more of him!
So is this a reference manga where I should search for what deity name I invoke in my next scanlations? Nice~
Chained beast in norse mythology? There is actually shitload of em. Even more if we pick up different versions of legends etc.
That's pretty much what they taught us in my greek mythology class. Myths are basically a series of story templates that can be boiled down into the barest bones of the story structure and were even in classical times reframed by the artists of the day. For instance, the story of Orpheus and Euridice takes on quite a different tone if he turns around by accident/because he was forgetful vs if he couldn't bear not knowing if she was really there. (Two examples from actual greek plays as my TA explained it).
Obviously modern authors are taking this MUCH further with these reimaginings, but I just wanted to mention that these were never set in stone from the beginning. How could they be when most mythologies started as a series of stories that were blended together over hundreds of years into storied pantheons?
Mimir is a woman, though in this Manhwa they decided to make her muscular so she look rather masculine.
And that "chained" boy seen at the end of ch 2 looks like Fenrir.
The actual myths are sometimes pretty gruesome that nobody would like to read them for fun, so why not tweak them as you like?
Also there are so many versions of the same myths, some even contradictory, so you can choose whichever version you like best, or even create your own version if you didn't like any. Or at least that's what an author of mythology-based novels once said..
a lot of mangas/manhuas/manhwas have mangled chinese, japanese, american mythologies, so why not the norse ones. they're badasses enough.
...That's like spitting on the norse mythology isn't it?
The english in this is pretty rough.
pree sure its a girl, not that it matters
is that smoker a chick or a dude? I need to know xD
Worried we're picking up too much projects? Worried Shiro is overworking? Don't worry this is just a weekly release. Enjoy this teaser chapter everyone!
