They don't have to. It would be nice if they could, but at least they've tipped readers off to something important- this translation is not only poorly proofed, but innacurate as well. Basically worthless. That's good to have on record since it's considered a faux pas to scoop projects from other groups without good reason. So hopefully someone who does have the time and abilities will retranslate this.

We haven't dropped this so don't worry. Evil Flowers is working on this, slowlly but surelly you'll get the HQ translatiosn you desire .

Not only is the English absolute shite, it's actually pretty off, as well. Some nouns are just blatantly omitted, and the choice of verbs are the worst possible. I'm reading the Korean translations. Jap -> Korean works extremely well, even Google translate does it with 99% accuracy. And the difference between the Korean trans and the shoddy Eng trans here is like heaven and hell. It's not just that the grammar errors make you want to puke, they're not even correct 50% of the time.

Watch the anime, you'll understand. Basically, the way the manga is set up all the dramatic moments are lost because pacing is at our reading speed, but if you watch the anime you'll get a different appreciation for some scenes in the manga.

I don't recall anything in the anime that would ever warrant a drama tag. Also, dramatic scenes do not a drama series make. In any case, the tag's not on here anymore either, so lols.

I admit I don't really remember everything that happened so far in the manga, but... what's with the drama tag? >.>

Recruitment isn't looking for an editor? Because you should be. It feels like it's translated by someone not so good at English, and would be perfect if it was only edited by someone who was.

Hi, I'm the proofreader for this with Evil Flowers. I'd just like to say that despite what some of you may think, we at EF actually do care about this manga. I apologize for the delay we had on it for a while there, but we should be making more progress with it in the near future.

 

The thing is, as with all scanlation groups, we all work on a volunteer basis, and we have lives and jobs and school and so forth. I myself own and operate a store and am sick much of the time. So I'm sure some people will say "well someone who's not sick or busy should work on it instead", but we have limited staff, and to be honest, I personally really like the project.

As Bobby W. said, I was the cause of the delay for a little while, as you can see in the comment he was referring to, here: http://www.evilflowers.com/index.php?/page/articles.html/_/ongoing-projects/non-non-biyori-r129. However, if I recall, I'd finished my proofreading of chapters 20 and 21 within a week of when I made that comment, but it was another month or so before we were able to get chapter 20 edited and QCed because we were short on staff (we actually released chapter 20 on the 10th of September, just for some reason it never got uploaded to Batoto).

 

I have several other projects plus work to deal with at the moment, but since the busy season with work has mostly ended for me now, I'm going to try to get the next 6 chapters proofread by the end of November (hopefully sooner, but we'll see). Most of those are already cleaned, and I believe we have some available typesetters at the moment, so unless something goes awry (if, for example, I end up super ill and frequenting urgent care for much of the latter half of the month like I did last year... but hopefully that won't happen again), you should get to see the end of volume 3 relatively soon (by the end of the year at the latest, but hopefully more like the end of November, assuming all goes as planned).

 

I hope you all understand, and I do sincerely apologize for the delays. >.< I just want you to know that we do like the project and are trying to make progress with it. ^^

You guys are doing a good job, even if you've had some slowdowns. Most of us understand and support you regardless.
