I don't see why you have to read the manga that comes after this chronologically to understand it.
Also, aren't the objectives of BLAME and NOiSE to be as confusing as possible?
I'm probably among the minority, but I don't think Musubi and Sanakan are the same person. They share similarities, but I'd say Musubi was (and maybe still is somewhere in the City) a rogue being that retained her identity, making her one of the oldest entities in the Blame-verse - she's well over three thousand years old when the manga mentions the Moon being engulfed by machinery, and by the time of Blame the City is so large it reaches as far as Jupiter's orbit and over, so how many millennia is that?
As a fan of Blame, I like this manga very much, I hope the upcoming reprint we will get here will have an updated translation, the original was, like with the original print of Blame, incomprehensible gibberish.
Early I don't think she is Sanakan, but more and more, she is realy like Sanakan.
I think its better to read this first, because if you start with blame! it wont be until chapter 20 that you will catch on to the plot
And anyway is it actually confirmed that Susono Musubi is Sanakan?
Yes.
It is that confusing.
Still, it's funny seeing Killy as a perfectly normal human cop though.
