It's a very sweet one with an ending that doesn't disappoint, and 4 volumes is a neither too short nor too long.
(Just wanted to troll you puny mortals that have no choice but to wait for a scanlation, bwahahah!)

The only thing that matters in how a manga is labeled in terms of demographics is where it's being published. Male MC can totally be Shoujo and vice-versa ( not the case here ).

Since the story is from the perspective of a male MC, I don't think it can be labeled shoujo.
Consider this : Sango was a girl in the first place.
