Ay, but it's been like a year since the last release, he might also have already give up on it. But I hope he continues, I'll still continue to tl it though even if it's slow
Still another 22 Chapters to go (or like 17 if they include the prologue).. And from what I read on U17, the Author is not finished with the series and continues to work on it in his free time for another serialization run(if it happens).. We will see. Would be a real shame because it is a very unique story compared to all other Wuxia.
Status Update, Series is more or less discontinued/infinitive Hiatus as authour couldn't keep up with the serialisation, as he feel stressed etc.

Webtoons are more of the onestrip thingy, so I would say it's webcomic. But if you are refering to it being a work of an indepedent "mangaka", then yes.

This is an original work, so I don't think there's any novel, not that I know of.
Edit: There's however a novel under the same name at 17k but there're no chapter.
