The oneshot is kind of ...odd?

I love this manga. so cute. I hope there a more translated chapters soon.

I love this manga. so cute. I hope there a more translated chapters soon.

Overall a cute story, though not completely coherent. The second chapter was a bit confusing but the third sort of clarifies a bit. The story leaves you with a feeling of nostalgia, warmth and a touch of heartache.

I hope though that the story delves more into Ichii's history and his past with the mom, so far that feels like the deeper mystery as the story has been a bit ambiguous about that.

This manga was shorter than I would've liked, but then that's the mark of a good manga right?

I love Shiro, Ichii, and Tae.

I especially love the fact that the townspeople recognize Tae's importance because Shiro really needs her at this point in his life. In any other situation, the people around him would question his attachment to a cat and separate them, possibly berating and belittling him in the process. But the fact that they're choosing to respect his decisions and treat his thoughts and opinions seriously makes me so happy. He may be young, but you don't know how important really listening to a child and their needs can be to the child's emotional development.

I don't know if it's just because it's been so long since I read the first chapter or what, but...that second chapter made next to no sense at all.  It seemed like the majority of it was cute little Shiro running around being cute, people reacting to him being cute, and then suddenly drama.

Spoiler

Why does the description have nothing to do with the first chapter or manga at all?
Yeay!! Another work of Satoshi-sensei! Woo!
