lol, what to do when your new series doesn't get good ratings: fanservice it up to 11.

I think she not "attractive" for normal japanese standards:

* Weird hair color
* Thick and not slim
* Very tall for a woman
* Social anxiety that makes her much less attractive in general

1 and 2 are not a good trait as "attractive" for a japanese society where everything is out-of-the-standard is looked as "weird". For sure is drawned attractive for us westerns.

...is this guy for real

>tfw

I guess this is what happens when you study [Not Engineering or CS] at a [Not top 10 school], [No internships], [Sub 3.5 GPA], [No research experience]

Just kill me now fams

Err, Our MC is 23 Y.O, so.....
I Thought at first neeko family contain 3 hot sisters. An Well Endowed Imouto and Busty Onee-san
But that is her mother..... looks so young..., So what is actual her age....

urrghhh...this mango really reaaally hit home eh...i can related to her a little......orz

So what you're saying is that she needs to meet a foreign tourist who will become her sugar-daddy?

Its difficult to relate to the MC because shes attractive + female.

Its difficult to relate to the MC because shes attractive + female. It is wayyyy harder to get an office job if you are an unattractive male. Plenty of scientific studies show that appearance makes a huge difference. In the first place its almost impossible to fail interviews for things like waitress jobs.

I get that shes attractive because people prefer to read series where the MC is attractive but its not a good fit to talk about being a NEET and having an attractive female MC because it just comes off as hard to believe.

It's difficult to relate. She's a neet now but it's not like she hasn't tried. I've been there and got out of the situation within 6 months which seemed like a long ass time to me and of course I grew anxious every passing week...

But anyway, as long as she's not asking for money to buy bullshit except daily necessities, I don't care if she's unemployed.

This just hits closer to home each chapter...

If that's what I think it is, I'm out.

Spoiler

If that's what I think it is, I'm out.

They should rename this. "How to drive someone to suicide 101." Confidence issues are hard enough to fix as is, without everyone spewing out your problems to the world.

Normies should stop shoving their ideals down our throat. So she doesn't have a job! why should she feel its a problem? fuckin normies.

im sure she can easily make money if she was a ehem ehem EHHHEMMM kkooorrrrr
*cough *cough puih! damn phlegm in my throat

as a model because you know her body was bomb

About that...

She seems to be suffering from anxiety and has gotten into a vicious cycle of failing interviews because of this, being too afraid to apply, and then beating herself up for being jobless, which just makes her more depressed and unable to move forward. It's not as simple as just "trying harder". Might be hard for outsiders to imagine the kind of stigma attached to being a neet in Japan, it can make getting onto the career ladder very difficult and perpetuate that lack of confidence and self-loathing. No wonder she's struggling. But then, you seem to have already decided to have no sympathy for her, so I doubt this will change your mind...

If you think the flat out rejection in this manga is hard, try doing job search in Japan IRL.

They always smile, always act interested and giving you false hope but that is all lying. Afterward, come the same copy paste reject email, which i pretty much remembered by heart by now or worse just no contact at all.

During my job search here, i was glad to have people actually tell me that i am bad at this or that and they are not going to hire me for that reason. At least i can learn and improve while saving time waiting or leaving schedule open for next interview etc.

Don't want your friends from school to find out how low you've come? I don't have that problem because I never had any friends to begin with haha oh god.

Yeah, I'm sure she's a genius who just happened to fail dozens of interviews. I mean, she's not even trying at this point, she has no excuses.

I worked part time on a certain company. I'm pretty smart and really hardworking if I say so myself, but got laid of when the "assignment" was over. Who got hired you say? Those f**** that appeals to the higher ups but do no real work.

you stupid or what ? being smart and being neet don't have any connection

ever if you smart you can be jobless. for example lot of employers here are complete assholes, they hire you for test time of month, not pay you a shit and then kick you out to find another idiot working his ass for free.

Also, where is this legal? Hiring someone for a month, kicking out without pay? What? Something is telling me you weren't looking for legal jobs, unless you live in some country with absolutely draconian anti-employee laws.

She probably wouldn't be a NEET if she was smart.

That's what I kept thinking throuought the second chapter. It even plainly states that "being a housewife is like being a neet LOL" which is basically true, yet she fails to make that obvious connection, despite the fact the talk about marriage came up earlier that morning... come on, I know the very premise of this manga hardly makes sense to begin with but at least don't make an entire chapter about an obvious plothole.

Huh... she's too cute to be a neet.

Them cute girls at least have a guaranteed fallback of being able to easily marry and get a comfy and relaxing housewife job. Maybe even hook a big one with a CEO or rich entrepreneur, or two.

so neet-chan has her own manga

While us guys,  well... no such option.

Though one can still relate with the psychological pressure and stress of job-hunting and interviews.

Well keep in mind she's a manga character who is designed to look cute. Who knows what she would look like in reality.
