Not surprised this got the axe honestly, it was too in the middle for anything.
It wasn't too far into drama to be a serious love story, and it wasn't too invested in the sports to be a sports story either. I think it tried to be too ambitious and it didn't pay off.
To be honest, I think the author needed more time to flesh out the interactions between the characters to lead into the serious love drama, but didn't get time to.
Oh well, at least there's an end.

Anyway it's a nice ride... I've loved this manga from the first chapter, cuz I never thought I would ever find my favorite things of high school baseball and forbidden/age gap romance in one pack. Thank you very much for all scanlators!
Kinda feels like the mangaka wanted to give it a few more chapters but the publisher told him to close shop earlier than he wanted, leading to this somewhat rushed ending.
