I knew what I was getting into and still got heartbroken.
My saltiness will not go away for a while.
The heart wants what it wants. Not every relationship ends in rainbows and butterflies, shoujo might be more up your alley.
Man, what a shitty ending, the main protagonist is clearly unstable, he had a fucking milf in kimono and wasted all that, people can call this ending realistic, sad, predicable, but to me, it is stupid.
feels insanely rushed. would've liked to have seen him actually ending up with one of them. or that she wasn't actually mori's girlfriend, but that mori saw him drawing her and feeling interested in her, so he acted as if he were her boyfriend so that he could introduce them to each other (your lie in april-esque scenario).
While I do feel like it is a fitting conclusion, the ending still feels rushed.
This is so right , yet left me heartbroken for both of them.
This is sad ending but i think its the best for Akira, she cant get the happy life with that brat in future.
Natsu no Zenjitsu published from 2008-2015
then the story continued with Mizu to Gin which was released in 2000 and Mizu no Iro Gin no Tsuki in 2006.
Did he(the mangaka) made this manga's ending to complement Mizu to Gin? A short story he made >10 years ago?
Now I understand why the ending was made like that.
The ending is not to my liking, but it was done quite well. Overall I still rate this 10/10. TBH I want to give it more than 10 but that sounds unrealistic haha.
Beautiful, but sad. Like most manga in the genre it truly leaves a hole when it ends.
She was best girl hands down
Man...that ending just doesn't suit me. I don't like those types of endings but I can see why it works for other people. Tetsuo is a character that is unstable and aware of what he's doing. The ending is somewhat a coming-of-age for him, he finally knows what to do.
Akira...I feel so bad for her. She shined so much because her lover was unstable. When she said "it was for the best"... T.T NOOOOO!!! I hope you have a great life Akira, your personality is absolutely enchanting, I wish my future girl will be like you Q,Q
Here's my two cents: I'm ok with this ending. Tetsuo already show signs of wavering from early chapters so it's not like it came out of nowhere.
What I'm NOT ok with is that the author just have to put those extra chapters after all's been said and bloody done.
After all this time...that ending sucked...I'm happy he came out clean but so seems like they only made a bad choice...
There is a old one-shot from this author with the play-boy friend who becomes a pedo, therefore he should have left Hanami behind...we can put the pieces together and put them in a couple in our mind...poor lady...
Anyway, nice attitude.
lololololololololol really? I thought every love story between adults was like a fairy tale with a happy ever after. Thanks for the heads up....geez that was damn close.
So if you read a manga shounen title and you couldn't accept the shitty ending, you would stop reading all shounen titles in the world? Awesome!
Sinking Titanic authors does exist (we're given enough information that Tetsuo and Akira just never going to work, no matter how much we want them to be together) but throwing salt icebergs...yeah, this is the first time for me.
Love stories between adults don't always end well. If you can't accept that, you should probably stop reading romance seinen and just read shoujo.
I read Mizu to Gin by this author and I didn't like it. Still, I gave this title a chance because the author could be doing one title "wrong" but others "right". The ending could go both ways but it just had to run the bad end route. To make us suffer more, the author added 2 small extras from the past.
If I was the one doing this title, I would have changed the dialogue at the ending (even with the same images) and made a much better end. The extras could then have been "forever together" specials instead and held a much better memories in our heart.
I'm disappointed with the ending after following from the title from the start while hoping the best for Akira. I will NEVER read any works from the author again.
The entire manga........ oh fuck it
Wow, I've seen much things, but never an author sinking The Frigging Titanic and throwing salt icebergs on the people in it to be certain that they've really died. This is a first to me, and i really don't like it.
Yeah this is true, I know we all know what everyone really wants. More Tetsuo and Akira! I am hoping the author would release another bonus chapter or something.
But one of the things that the other forum posters brought up was that there doesn't seem to be much of a story after this though, I want to know what happens to Akira!
Impossible...
You know that most of the time, Akira wears Traditional Japanese... and do you think Akira would date Mori to spite Tetsuo in front of him.. Tetsuo was like near Mori in that scene...
Akira's more than that...
Although, maybe she is the inspiration for akira... "hmmn... lets make this nameless character into a main"
