I really hope that was Ishida who was calling Yuu at the end :( Who knows that it was in different timelines but being put together

Wow, that was such a satisfying read. I loved seeing all the character development, approaches to issues, and of course how nothing got dragged out (and nothing was added just for sake of drama imo). The translation speed was certainly amazing too (so thank you very much for that!).

I really liked how the author included that season 1 epilogue with the teacher and the implication of her visitors. One of my other favourite bits was

If anything, I think I would have liked to see more introspection/thoughts from Yu in season 2, like in season 1.

As for who's calling Yu out at the end...I actually found that a bit random LOL. But maybe it's supposed to be someone we know *ahem*.

But really overall it was a very heartwarming story.  I'll def be sharing this one and re-reading in future.

I think Kenji ends up dating Miu, if you look at the final 2 frames of 'And Then' it's a person with a green coat reaching to him as he stands with flowers (presumably for a date, right?) and in the next chapter, when Miu is grown up shes wearing a coat the exact same colour and the sleeves are the same. Maybe reading too much into it but that's what I'd like to think came about so I'm sticking with it.

*sobs* nooooooooo i can't believe this is the end

It's cute that Ishida can say Yuu's name though. I wonder what his name was in Korean though

Onishi's real identity is Kang Young-woo

Bonus: Ishida's is Lee Si-hyun

Thanks so much Justforreplying.

No matter how many chapters you uploaded I wanted more.

I wondered if I'd stop wanting more once the story was over.

Now I know, I will always want more.

Loved the story.

The story felt like a prologue to a larger event.  Not there wasn't enough in the story as written, but more like there was so much potential stories to tell I wanted to read more.

But... This didn't feel very complete.

I agree with you. At around chapter 33, I made a comment about how it felt like the series was over. That chapter felt more like an ending than this one. Nothing is explicitly resolved. The girl following Yu around, the guy that kept bothering Kenji, Yu's sister, Kenji's new friend in college... They all got "endings" but it felt like there should've been more to the story to really feel like closure.

This was one good webtoon.  I loved it <3

Thank you jfrscan's for all the chapters!

Oh damn that's a lot of chapters at once. Thanks!

But... This didn't feel very complete. Like, in the end, there wasn't much going on on Yuu's end. Yeah he got his eye removed and that sucks but he seemed way too chill about it. Like "well I can't see anything from this eye anyways so just pop that thing out"

And then what happened to that girl? And like all their friends? And Yuu's sister? Eh whatever I guess

Thank you very much, justforreplying, for your admirable feat of translating all 63 chapters of Nanohana Boys in less than a month and a half, 44 days to be exact. This webcomic made me tear up at times, and feel all fuzzy and warm on other times. It was something I looked forward to every other day, and you guys surely never disappointed me. Thank you again for your superb efforts in this!

This was the best thing about my summer this year. I laughed and I cried with this T^T I don't often cry when something ends but with Nanohana Boys, I bawled my eyes out in the last few chapters. This was an amazing story. I just want to protect Yu and Kenji with all my heart. Even now I can't stop crying ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚

I'd barely even picked this up, and it's already been completed! Amazing, fast-paced and high quality work, so thanks very much, justforreplying! Hope you'll keep scanlating more loveable titles like this in the future.

I'm going to miss these guys. I really loved reading it to the very end, and seeing that things truly improved. But I can't help but think that Yu was truly treating Kenji as a younger brother. I myself want to hug Kenji... I'd be an older sister bug that would spoil him rotten... I admit it!

;-; it was really good.

That's actually a myth. In fact, you might hurt yourself more trying not to sleep

Oh noooo Yuu. Let's hope that it's actually just a rapid onset of myopia and not anything worse than that

Resesrched.. unless the dilation of pupils or vomiting and dizziness.. gotcha

I'm no doctor but sleeping when a concussion is thought to have happened is no bueno.

Anyone else get the vibe that maybe Akira is from a very powerful family and orchestrated what happened to the Senpai's family?

I think the writer addressed that in 53.1

That's quite a nice way to put it. I just think that the upperclassman is a self-entitled, discriminating jerk.

EDIT: Dang, sometimes I hate being right.

LOL I think you nailed the diagnosis there. He's arrogant and spoiled rotten with no understanding of consequences or responsibility. Anyone else get the vibe that maybe Akira is from a very powerful family and orchestrated what happened to the Senpai's family?

EDIT: Thanks for pointing that out xyzabc, totally missed that part of the author's note, that's what I get for skimming

I'm going to just put my guesses for these topics in spoiler so my comment doesn't look so fat LOL.

Of course I'm just guessing so I look forward to finding out too ^^

I do want explanations of that senpai's ruffness and the girl who's clinging to Onishi. I kind of get a feeling that senpai is actually difficult to express his feelings? And the girl has actually a different agendas by clinging to Onishi?

I do like the addition of Akira's character though as I think he can cause a lot of readers to do some introspection. Most of us reading probably don't have disabilities so I think many of us could unconsciously react and think the same way Akira does. Makes you do a double take of sorts.

Yes, I totally agree with you. In fact, treating your normal friends and your disabilities friends would always be different, either if you act consciously or not. So far, Akira has been very cooperative and helps Akira to adjust. He might just have been overprotective, probably since it's been a while since he saw Ishida summed with the way they parted before made him to think he should treat disabilities people differently with others who are not.

I think the friend is genuine, if a little... overbearing? I get the feeling that, unlike Onishi, Akira thinks that Ishida needs protecting. Since Onishi also has his issues, he knows how it is when people treat you differently, or with pity, and he doesn't like that. But I think Akira still thinks of Ishida as a "deaf person who needs my help." Now, add in that he already feels bad about rejecting Ishida all those years ago and how he wants to make up for it now....

Spoiler

I don't think he's a bad guy, I just think he doesn't realize he's still treating Ishida as a "disabled person." I figure that will be the main issue that comes up between them.

I can see that being the case. Yea, unfortunately good intentions doesn't always equal to doing the best thing for someone else. Like with this

The fuck is this punkass bitch's problem. Yeah sure sometimes there are people who bring down the entire group... but that was totally this punkass bitch's fault. He didn't even do anything to help out. Saying "no, that's not quite right" is only a contribution if you follow up with what could be done to correct it. Someone fucking deck this guy
