Watch out though, she's also a navy seal, who graduated top of her class, and has over 300 confirmed kills, and that's just with her bare hands. If you piss her off, her network of secret spies all across the globe will track you down and she will put the fear of God into you, and she has access to the full inventory of the Japanese army. So watch out, maggots, or she will wipe out the pathetic little existence you call your life.

It's not that new a trope. The Japaneses have a bit of a tradition around these "living ghosts", for instance the visual novels Kanon and Clannad both featured them.

Seems to follow AnoHana's formula too closely, which is a minus. It doesn't really feel unique and engaging.
I bet that Hokuto would be the only one who can see Subaru or something.
Imma keep watch for now, but if this goes on then I'd be dropping this shit.

Since the girl is in coma, and probably the only one who can see her ghost? soul? spirit? is a boy, it also reminds me Just Like Heaven, a movie with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo.

although in that movie she was more like an earthbound spirit
this is more like Anohana with a soft touch (for now)
