Chapter 15 is the best!
Actually, the Inazuman manga was not adapted from the TV Series. Inazuman originated from an idea called "Mutant Z" by Hatano Yoshifumi, a Toei producer of animated programs (including one of the Cyborg 009 animated series) and was originally planned to be an animated series. This changed, and Inazuman wound up becoming a Tokusatsu in the vein of Kamen Rider, Kikaider & co. The manga was already in the planning stages when this decision was made. The purposed anime series would be based on two of Ishinomori's own ealier comics Mutant Sabu and Shônen Dômei (Youth League). This explains the similarities between the two. Ishinomori always reused a good idea when he had one; after all, Kamen Rider itself owes a lot to Cyborg 009 and Skullman.
They look the same because that its the drawing style of the author, and the mutant thing was a a recurrent topic to ishinormi as also the cyborgs, the conection its tiny: Both are mutants and when Inazuman (Who its named Goro Watari in the tv series Sabu ist only a nickname) get adapted in manga form (now named Saburo Kazeta, Sabu i still a nickname) Mutant sabu get and aparition so you can say they share a unievrse
Is it related to Inazuman in any way? The main character is named Sabu and he's also a mutant. They look just like the same. And both series are by the same author.
Wow! For being old, this doesn't go with the "everyone happy" path at all! You can't really predict how each chapter would end, hahaha!
Very good manga! Thanks for taking on the work of translating it, and this quick!
I just added improved scans for chapters 1 & 2.
1961 - No wonder the characters look like they are from Osamu Tezuka works.
It was first envisioned as a one-shot, but eventually got turned into a series. It won the Shogakukan Manga Award back on 1961. It's said to be the first manga about ESP and psychic powers and influenced famous manga artists such as Keiko Takemiya, Moto Hagio and Mitsuteru Yokoyama.
Oh, thanks!
I find that happens a lot with things that have been uploaded within the past few hours.
try refreshing the page a few times, and if that doesn't work, just come back a bit later and it should work fine, Jumbo.
I can't read it. Some pages are not loading.
Seems like a one-shot, good quick paced story that could be wrapped up at the end of chapter 1
