It probably doesn't make much difference. Both are hard to read.

Look on the bright side! Darn good thing they fell into the Pretty Maiden's Reincarnation Road (by...tripping?) instead of the Ugly but Happy Harlot's Road, the Slit-Mouthed Woman's Road (pomade!), the Immortal-but-Stuck-as-the Easter Bunny's Road, the Bacterial Colony Road...
I dunno, though... Given a choice, I'd probably take the Ugly but Happy Harlot's Road and mmmmaybe get some strategic plastic surgery after I'd learned my life's lessons. Otomes tend to fret or grow arrogant.
Which one should be read first?
tough both are 'chapter 1', they are not the same chapter. just FYI- missing one might confuse you later on.
That's what the artist decided to put as the cover. If I remembered correctly, I remember seeing them appearing in the series as cameo or characters.
