Blech. I'm not really into themes of fate or destiny or whatever, and this plays it so wretchedly straight. The romance felt really unconvincing, so all the melodrama completely missed the mark. Tastes like a sandwich that's been left out in the rain for a few days. Just this soggy, textureless mass that smells vaguely like mould.

Also the whole tower as an institution is a cesspit of abuse and corruption that goes completely unquestioned by anybody. "One of our top merchants sexually assaulted someone, in direct view of a security camera, and was literally caught in the act by the monitoring guard! Oh well! Can't do anything about that, I guess!" "Huh, one of our merchants is probably raping someone right now in his shop? We literally have a recording of him explicitly stating his intention to do so, as well as him threatening to drive a popular lower-ranked merchant out of business? This is common knowledge and not doubted by anyone, even at the highest levels of management? It's a shame we have a policy of not disturbing our merchants when they're with customers, even when they're obviously and openly doing something utterly vile! Oh well!" It's so painfully obvious that the author didn't actually care about how the tower would function, just lazily using it as a source of nonsensical plot devices. So hollow.
I liked it. It was definately a shoujo and there were quite a few clichés in there but personally it's above average because the heroine (mostly) didn't just complain and wait for the guys to sort it all out- she was very proactive-and the male lead was just so nice. He was always having fun with his life and you could really tell how happy he was when the MC was around. However, despite the fact that most of the characters were happy and generally just nice people there was a certain long haired guy that I absolutely despise and nothing was really done about him.
