This would be among the closest manga has come to being art.
Can't believe that I've overseen this manga before. Words can't express how epic this manga was. And what a great ending... Wow
holy smoke, this got me hooked. This is soooo good.
Last chapters just gave me chills. Beautifully constructed story with nice ending.
Chapter 26 and this stuff is great so far. I can even recognize some of the street names heh
Had a clean and proper ending with a little of insecurity unlike many other manga. Story was well laid out with many twist and turns with a plot that really sucks you in. Overall, this manga is simply amazing.
I think Stannis Baratheon from Game of Thrones looks just like Lunge.
This one is pure gold! I watched the anime first though...
But I pretty much "marathon'd" the anime because it was just soooo much better than sleeping, eating or going to the toilet... Granted I had to drink something, because I was feeling weird the second day...
Being addicted, constantly hungering for more and having this hollow-y weird feeling of real hunger have provided me with a very ... "interesting" experience. (And now it makes me remember reading Berserk, because I had a very similar addiction to it as well XD)
Before you start either the manga or the anime you should stock up on caffeine, food, water and some kind of toilet-replacement (or just hold it in and ignore the stinging pain like I did), because once you get into Monster... Oh god...
If its true I hope the japanese are going to diffuse it to the largest audience possible.
nvm.
This is getting a live-action series soon.
Just finished the anime version and tried comparing the final 4 chapters with the anime. While the anime has a greater impact in important scene, the manga is far superior in other aspects. A scene consisting a few panels, allowing for swift and meaningful revelation will be lengthen unnecessary in the anime in order to fill it's time slot; ultimately lowering the quality of the show itself.
While I don't plan to read Monster, I certainly regret watching the anime rather than reading it.
Amazing Manga, I never read it before because the Genres and Pictures never really caught my eye but all the comments were positive so I gave it a spin, best choice I've made since 1994!
Great Manga along with great characters! Detective Lunge really creeped me out though
Dark theme, but honestly, I'd say it's worth reading. It just confuses you and your emotions... A lot.
I'm thinking of re-reading it, for nostalgia's sake. If anyone could upload the remaining volumes it would be very appreciated.
