I like Izmir. I like Mima. I like Labin. I don't care much for the rest atm.

So like....is Mima the one Aiud made a deal with? Would fit into why Aquileia hated Mima. Rather than a magician, seems like he's a force of nature. He's got the kind of personality fairies of the myths I'm familiar with have - whimsical, mischievous, and "unfeeling" (can't think of the appropriate word for it atm). I guess the immediate alternative I can think of is Mima having some sad past as a magician of Aiud's time, but I'm opting for the former.

 
...Otherwise, I'm still here wondering where the romance is supposed to be. Tragedy flags everywhere, though. Why the heck am I here. I'm not a masochist...I think.

If it's not Mima, then is it actually the princess? The first thing Mima told the uncle was that the uncle couldn't use magic because it had all been taken by his niece. Which doesn't make too much sense actually, considering the uncle is older than the princess, but what if the princess had died very young, or even at birth? And her death and subsequent revival (how does that work anyway) was the last one? There are issues with this theory too. There's not truly enough information yet on how magic works to truly prove or disprove it. It just struck me as odd that Mima would say that despite knowing the truth of what happened to the princess's magic.

 

Again, just a guess, I know nothing about this story beyond what I've read here.

Whoa, that resolution seemed entirely too simple...

But will her kids have magic? Seems a bit short-sighted, unless she plans to marry that one guy or just not have kids.

I like the character writing in this, the main cast is fun and all have their unique personality. Look forward to more, will new chapters be added here or will i have ot look for them on the scanlators site?

For now, I will upload them here. We might try to make our own webtoon reader in the future (there were some issues with Naver iirc).

Yeah, i read through the current chapters in one go, and it's for the moment your standard pretty boy gallery fantasy story. But it looks decent.

I'll follow for now and see how it goes.

 

What Demographic would you describe it as though? It feels mostly gender neutral, but perhaps leaning a little more to the shounen side than the shoujo.

Hm, other works of the author (Like a Bird, Star's Last Wish) were tagged for young females, but I also know at least one guy who reads it.
I don't feel like the gender matters much (even for the characters).

What caught my attention was definitely the mystery aspect, and the very dark undertones that stand in contrast to the "comedy" episodes and the colorful art.

This is one of my favorite webtoons. Don't be deceived by the pretty art and the "cliche" beginning.

The story is ultimately about "happiness" and "fate".

 

I think only at the end of Season 1 the "core" of the story is revealed (even though there are hints sprinkled all over Season 1), so stay tuned.
