This is actually rather better than I was expecting. It violates one big time shoujo rule and starts to do a major cliche but then blows it up immediately. Doesn't mean there are no cliches left, obviously, but still, it's having some fun.

And the characterization isn't bad; nobody quite fits their respective stereotypes, they all have odd little tweaks.
