Dynasty only demanded it after someone complained and made a huge deal about it. 8/u/ stated that their credits page on previous works did not raise issue with anyone. They similarly also pointed out that /ak/ have used such imagery for far longer.

 

It seems to me that it's not about the imagery in question, but the way Dynasty's staff handled it. Dynasty asked, the translators refused, then they decided to let it stay, more flaming happened, LazyLily added a bit to the discussion,  and ultimately 8u was kicked and Lily pulled out (or at least temporarily?).  That's what I get from the respective group's posts, at least.

Except /ak/ uses their own design that's similar, 8/u/ directly lifts the actual Nazi emblem. The previous 8/u/ credits page didn't cause problems because there really wasn't that many that used the symbol. All their collab stuff with LazyLily never used the symbol.

It's entirely about the imagery in question. The group uses the Nazi emblem sometimes on their credit page, some people get pissed, flaming starts, mods have to step in. Instead of just doing what was asked so that mods don't have to regulate the forum every time a release comes out all they had to do was remove the symbol like they have done with their credit pages since. 8/u/ wasn't kicked, they refused to change and left on their own accord because admitting fault is too much for some people to handle.

That's what I said. They flip flopped a few times but eventually settled on having it removed and replaced. By that point we didn't care anymore and just chose to pull everything. We have other places we can upload stuff. As for exposure - who cares. Go back and whine on Dynasty. It's already over and if you keep whining it's gonna be mandatory for us to put nazi imagery on every credits page since it guarantees us giant shitstorms from you butthurt babies.

No, you did not say that. You said that they were just going to remove it when reality is that they just wanted you to replace it. You refused so they then decided to remove it. It's entirely on you. And no it's not over as evidence by the 8/u/ boards still bitching about Dynasty as if it was their fault for wanting credit pages that don't start flame wars every release.

Also funny how you are going to try and put your need for nazi imagery on me. We get it, you think ironic Nazism is hilarious. The least you can do is man up and admit and stop trying to put the blame on everyone else.

It was place holder text put in by the translator and I didn't get someone to QC the work. When it was pointed out I immediately went and fixed it on 8/u/. This was uploaded without our permission. I've now gone and re-uploaded the fixed versions that we had posted DAYS go. Also @Gale - they demanded we removed the credits page in the end on iRC in PM so we chose to pull our works then.

I don't think sjw's were proven right by any means. I'm not even bugged by "nigger." I'm bugged by the fact that it's commie-scans tier """"translating"""" that detracts from the original work. They can put as much ""nazi"" humor into their credits page as they want (and some of it may be funny too, who knows?), they can even leave out the humor and make it bona fide, sincere nazi recruitment propaganda, but the translation of the work itself should be genuine.

Apparently, some people didn't like the 8chan translators' "ironic" nazi schtick, so the staff asked them to make a different credits page with less nazi imagery. They decided they'd rather go harder on the """"ironic"""" naziism instead, started trolling, and when the thread got locked, they asked for all their scans to be taken off of dynasty, even though the staff had already decided to drop the issue and let the credits page stay as it was.

And now they're inserting racial slurs into the actual scans as well, so... I guess further defining themselves as an in-group and pushing away anyone in the out-group via shitty jokes is more important to them than making good translations?

TL;DR channers gonna chan. Not all that surprising, really. Considering the cultures of 8chan and dynasty, it was going to happen eventually. If anything, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Also the versions posted here our out of date - so all the errors people are complaining about have already been removed.. How can I edit the groups so we can at least receive credit for our work translating, cleaning, and typesetting. Also re-upload new versions of the chapters.

Okay, of all the things I expected from a superhuman yuri action manga, a girl pulling out a meticulously detailed Taurus Curve was not on the list. I'm not even sure how that happens. I am entirely mystified.
