there's a sequel?
Which guy (out of the 1000's of guys she's married thru the millennia). Don't forget she does this trick 4 or 5 times a century and has been at it forever.
If you read the sequel you'll find that she often has no respect for her 'fathers'. It seems like she has enough respect for the MC to not want to put him thru that experience.
i finished the 163 pages in the blink of an eye... wow
I think it is because she not necessarily told this fact to the actual husband...but for some reason, she told MC...maybe because in that social context was difficult to find people who actually was able to accept different and fantastic things, as sci-fi.
So - if I may play devil's advocate here - where does that leave the guy she actually married? Is there a reason why he could handle that burden but MC couldn't? If so, could that fundamental difference in their character be understood in a single day together?
the reason why she did not want to get together with the man and left him may be that it would be really awkward if his wife lost memory after giving birth and his daughter gets the memory instead, so it's best for both of them. A little pity for the man though.
Absolutely beautiful. It's a very philosophical work, but it isn't filled with too much sophistry and it doesn't bore. Definitely a stab to the heart for a foolish romantic like me.
P.S. Sorry to all the people who do not read/understand Swedish. Basically hoping for more sci-fi to be released in Sweden. And yes I know that One Piece is published in Sweden.
Also, happy new year to you all! Hope it will be a good one, without any tears.
Grymt! Det må bliva ett garanterat köp!
Yeah but her ancestors would miraculously survive each and every time.
We are talking about sci-fi/fantasy right? So how about you add to it that the first children has some insane resistance/immunity? Or if you prefer, fated, to be unable to die before they mature and give birth to the next generation.
The original series is actually a set of 5 novels. The first two have been given a manga adaptation (link to part 2 in Purple's post below). I have the first two manga volumes and the last three novels; gonna get around to reading 'em when my Japanese is better.
It is. Go over to "Wandering Emanon".
The ending conclusion and speculations by the male lead are pretty fascinating, and was my favourite part of this story.
The atmosphere of the story was pretty laid-back, and had a pretty philosophical slant through out.
@Pizhhh
Let's not go to the whole debacle about stories with similar features. Might as well think about Battle Royale v. Hunger Games.
