Typical shoujoshit I'll probably drop it soon.

Called him being evil.

Did I call it, or what?

Ch 18

Man...the tenseness in this one is difficult to take! >_<

Thanks for the release. :)

Been too long for my poor memory, but I can't reread it. :(

You can read the previous chapters on Evil Flowers' website

Ofc he's evil. Nobody legit is that shady.

Aagh.

Not strong enough clues.

Is the brother evil or not.

I'm betting yes.  Her instinct, which she is resisting, says yes.  Her sister said yes.  His odd manner says yes.  My feeling that he probably

Annddd ... here it comes. Uwah ... cliffhanger. Very much looking forward to see how the arc is concluded - thanks so much for continuing the series though. :)

Well, well.  We were bound to get here sooner or later, weren't we? :)

I had a smile on face by the end of this chapter.

New chapter.  I am delighted.  Thanks, Evil Flowers and Aerandria.  You always do a great job with a great manga.

I believe there are no children in "normal" families that didn't try to play their parents off against each other at least once. Its natural and a process to learn about limits in society. Ethics and morals aren't hereditary. You learn them just like anything else. The only concept every child is able to perceive from the beginning is equity. Though it might not seem that way because their values are pretty different to adults or older children.

So it might seem to a child that some candy has the same value as let's say a golden watch. Well...that's part of what makes them "innocent".

"Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing." - Oscar Wilde

edit:

How do you know you're old? Every second comment one writes starts to be a lecture. -.-

Sure, kids'll try it (I've got 4 myself; I should know), but their parents should quickly correct their mistake.  My 7 & 4 yr olds know better, and although they still try to get away with something now and then, they don't make a habit of it.  The twins clearly do make a habit of it, and their behavior suggests that no one really tries to correct them.  In this case, their involvement in their brother's "disappearance" was just sort of glossed over, and he was the one going around apologizing.

I've known manipulative people, and I can see manipulation and scheming a mile away...and I hate it.  "Normal" it may be, but that's no excuse for bad behavior.

Thanks, Evil Flowers and Aerandria, for a great chapter of a really good manga.  Appreciated it as always.

Wow.  Already manipulative scheming wenches at that age?  I fear for any men forced/tricked into marrying them.

Just found this.  Really liking it . . . everyone's said why already so I'll skip my pocket review schtick.

Love Suzu . . . she's not so much a child as a sassy little midget, but I don't care, it works.

Thanks, Aerandia and Evil Flowers. This is a very imaginative and well-written historical manga. It also has a lot of social commentary about the way people think, with Tsugaru definitely NOT thinking like a normal mercantile son of his time. A good part of the background makes me think of the films of Kenji Misoguchi, a film and literary tradition little known outside of Japan, but very valuable social commentary, both then and now.

Your thoughtful comments are what made me read this manga, and whoa, I discovered a little gem. Thank you! Tsugaru indeed doesn't think like a normal merchant's son. In fact, it's hard to categorise his personality, like a real (complex) person, and that's one of my favourite things about this series. The same goes for Suzu. She's both predictable and unpredictable; it's delightful to observe how she acts and thinks.

When Tsugaru's words of "we share a bond" kept being repeated, I was quite afraid that some trite, or worse, creepy reason was going to be explained, but then I came upon both their backstories and MAN. That was awe-striking. For a seemingly apathetic Tsugaru, I was expecting a deep reason that tied into his principles, and I sure as heck wasn't disappointed! It also showed what a good writer this author is.

I'd definitely rate this title (as of now) 8 or 9 out of 10.

Wait that guy is her older brother and he wanted to buy "her deloration"? wtf stay away from Suzu you sick bastard!

Yeah, I was also thinking "Wait, isn't that her brother? Why's he talking about her 'defloration'?" creeeeeepy asshole, please stay away from Suzu forever

Chapter 13 is out~

Spoiler

at the end of chapter 8, page 37. It looked like the foreshadow of an antagonist.

odds are the antagonist is the elder brother of Suzu. It would also explain why the "servant" betrayed her. Because the one pulling the strings will always be the eldest son. Granted... fatal error is fatal cause you pissed off  Tsuguru so... enjoy your punishment jerks <3.

loved chapter 7
