is ending part of the novel or is this an alternate ending?

I just read this manga today and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Not the choice I would've made, but it's great that he actually made a choice.

Thanks for the scanlations!

...i missed the rave...dammit shoulda follow the series more closely...

Err.. miss this series.

Kanade still the best girl <3

She's wild!

feminist is synonymous with protecting women

No, it's about empowering women so that they don't need it. Chauvinism actually is what dictates that the general "protection of women" is a necessity and always will be as such.

You were right, however, that the "hit her" guy was being on the misogynist side.

On the actual initial topic, though, I should note that "feminist" is exactly the word she used in Japanese. Just getting the blame off of me.

prior to finishing the manga version, i've actually read the light novels first.

but still,

what a ride.

Mayo Chiki, despite me being completely satisfied with its ending, i'm still going to miss it.

T^T

I love this manga

awesome end.

looks like a new start for me

I want more

Bottom line is that feminist is the wrong word is what I'm saying. Chauvinist sounds better.

Bottom line is that feminist is synonymous with protecting women so it was an apt usage.

I'll just leave you the dictionary definition of Chauvinism:

"an attitude that the members of your own sex are always better than those of the opposite sex."

Anyway, if you are going to call out someone for being wrong, it's probably a good idea to know what you are talking about.

Only few harem series can actually gives me DEM FEELS + Satisfying conclusion like this. Only regret that it should stay a bit longer.

Now I see why this series stays on "Highest rated comic"

Yes, feminism is about rights but I understood his idea in negative, twisted way. And I thought about females in this certain manga, not real world. They would kick your ass... and mine too.

Yes, equality in their rights (when compared to males). I think your definition is a bit skewed if you believe feminism=would hit both genders equally. That definition would be closer, albeit negatively, to "gender equality".

By the way, I wasn't saying the translator should have used the word misogynist instead of feminist in that occasion but rather that specific poster attributing feminist to hitting women when misogynist would make more sense in that context. I will say that not all people who hit women are misogynists or that there are no feminists would hit women.

I wish there was a scene with mother-in-law ..too.. but it's just a silly wish..

You are wrong, feminism is about equality, so he would hit them as he would hit guys which is perfectly fine because most of girls here are trained fighters. I think she should have used term "sexist".

It had a really fun start, but I got less interested near the end

So fun ride I guess?

It's a harem end actually.

It wasn't a harem end. It was an extremely pseudo-harem end. He got together with one girl and the other two didn't give up on him despite that. A harem end would mean he got together with two or more girls, which he did not.

Well, that was one of the best endings to this kind of manga that I've seen. So sweet. And also everyone being happy together without resorting to a harem ending, sending people off on a bus or cheaply tying up loose ends.

'HAPPINESS FOR EVERYBODY, FREE, AND NO ONE WILL GO AWAY UNSATISFIED!'

P.S. Any manga like this deserves kudos for actually resolving things and tying things up.

I'm ok with this ending. :3

I have to give this manga a solid 4/5. It was a fun enjoyable manga throughout, and it certainly builds on the main character and his relationships with the other girls more than many other harems. But still, it's disappointing to see Jirou being so indecisive even at the end. He still feels like a big punching bag for all the female characters after 38 chapters. =/

maybe i will be burned at the stake, but i need to say this since i see to much happiness on the commentaries, i`m the only one that is not happy seeing this ending ? i mean the bastard get Subaru and still play with Usami and Suzutsuki hearts...man i really feel bad for both of them, and Jirou should just die in Subaru's dad hands ...

I just bought the first 3 volumes. Have to see if the other 4 will come to the store. And for those that are still uncertain, its uncensored for the most part unlike the scans. One major problem is that "baka-chiki" is translated as "Chicken-brain" which doesn't give the same effect so I pretend that its baka-chiki. :P

I have to say this often happens. Most common annoyance would be in Naruto(though long past stage it gets said), were Ero-Senin becomes Pervy-Sage, I really believe somethings shouldn't be translated literally. That said I always thought baka-chiki was stupid chicken, chicken-brain just seems so wrong, though I guess it is kind of the same meaning but still.

Kanade is still best girl.
She's willing to put her body on the line so Jirou is sexually frustrated enough to chase Konoe more strongly. Not only that, she gives the harem member that's left out a job and a place to stay to watch her tease Jirou day in and day out. This was a really good ending.TZubQdW.png

Not quite sure you got her motivation for doing it, though what follows is of course my belief. Sure she is friends with all of them, but ultimately is selfish and lonely, and of course a bit of a sadist. Offering her body as others said at the time, was more than likely serious, and her passing it of as a joke and testing him, was merely how it ended up and her attempt to protect herself.

Offering Usamin a place to live and work, was because they were friends but as you said also because she would tease Jirou which gives Kanade the freedom to do the same. As she says at the end, she isn't going to just let them be lovey dovey.

Ultimately though the pairing is truly established the harem hasn't ended, and even though I liked all the girls, I don't like how these stories tend to do that. Though at least this one did make it pretty clear they were a couple.

We all know this is actually a harem end.

is this manga following the LN?

the ending looks like another start which means i want more
