dollmaker, you are people are obnoxious assholes. Despite any effort you put in scanning, cleaning, translating, typesetting, while appreciated, it does not make the work yours. As frustrating as it can be aggregators reposting your work, I assume you took it and edited it without author's permission as well. But hey, that's tumblr standards I suppose.

Just try to fit the bunny into the story: fairy godbunny, stalkerbun, spy from Bunnyland trying to understand human mating habits... Tons to choose from!

For some reason this reminds me of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, and the mangaka/editor team that keep putting tanuki in everything XD

I personally don’t mind watermarks for junk manga like this, it’s annoying only when the manga is actually good. I still can’t get the point behind them though, I spend substantial amount of time cleaning and typesetting manga I love and enjoy so others can enjoy it and I would rather have some aggregator site stealing that work to glue their name on it than ruining someone’s reading experience of a manga I love.

Hi, as much as I love that you have read my comment, I'd also like to advice that you didn't have to read my comment. And I understand your viewpoint of the watermarks used for a 'junk manga like this' as you have quoted. However, if it is such a 'junk manga', why would you bother reading it? That's first.
Secondly, as much as I love your idea on aggregator sites, I mean, I'm always reading from those websites so I totally understand what you mean, but some groups hate them because they do not properly give credit to scan groups. Think of it like this: no credit, scan groups get pissed off, no manga for us all. And no one likes that. So as people in society, we need to respect each other for our decisions whether shit or not and pretty much live with it. Cause u know. Society is messed up now. And thirdly, I seem to have a different viewpoint on art than you. It seems that you enjoy the 'art' which is probably the true art but hey, I'm not an artist and I'm here just to look at 2D pretty boys. As long as them watermarks don't cover my characters and important background, I don't mind it. Sometimes it is necessary.

All I want to say is everyone has a different viewpoint from everyone else, making us individuals but we should respect them for whatever they do, even if we hate it. Hate it? Leave them and let them suffer the consequences. Have a good day.

Well, I don't really mind the watermarks.  And I can imagine that, say, if you really hated certain non-Batoto aggregators who strip out those initial pages and give no credit, you might do something like that as a countermeasure.  I remember for a while a couple outfits were doing some weird thing where there were these disappearing watermarks that were supposed to mess up Manga*** and Manga**** and so on and yet be readable in places they were OK with, but I don't know how successful that was in the end.

On the other hand, I think dollmaker is acting like a snide, airheaded brat.  I felt reluctant to be on that side just because it was represented by such churlishness; if there's one thing that really irritates me it's the act of condescending to others for the sin of not being stupid enough.

same here, i already , as you said, "take it sometimes" , its just pity to those other who still new reader who knows nothing, asked why about the watermarked and then just to get bashed by the uploader, just like what happened to me before,

well, if they or dollmaker ever read my suggestion , one wont even try to question if one understood in the first place, look when i suggest to put explanatory page, dollmaker just replied arrogantly as she always had, simple, you put explanatory page, people read it before they read your translated work, people wont be confusing as hell, or have to deal with their attitude in the first place, they would simply read and be on with it,

I'm fairly certain the complaint has been pointed out to paperdolls many times before, and they already know that many groups would simply put their contact info on a credit page or two (since they already use them in conjunction with the watermarks). They just doesn't want to listen to the whining of the masses. Technically, they have no reason to either, since most of the series he seems to be working on don't have other groups working on English TLs for them. People might be displeased, but what are they gonna do about it? Complain, wish they could learn Japanese to read the raws and not have to deal with this, then continue reading their scanlations bitterly? Sounds about right.

 

You just gotta learn to take it sometimes. I didn't know when I first posted here, but I now know at least that paperdolls is a group that knows exactly how it can abuse its position. It's just a pity they decide to do it by degrading the art of the series they choose to work on. Makes me feel like I'm on MangaPanda or some bullshit.

 

Ah well. I guess I should be thankful I don't read much shoujo to begin with; lessens the chance that I'll run into this pretentious-ass group.

It's funny cause they remind me a bit of that guy selling other peoples instagram photos. It's like you take someone's art, change it a bit then slam a watermark on it screaming that it's yours. It wouldn't be so annoying it if it was just in each corner or something, or at least without the gross bunny. But it actually takes away the enjoyment of the manga in some cases. Maybe there's a reason why they never have enough funds? Shame as they do great work in general and I'd love to pay for all of their projects but money is spent better else where.

or when the character go embarrassed and kyun kyun  (that shoujo romantic moment) and they zoomed out and that watermark (same size) covered her whole face until all you can see was her only embarrassed cheek , you cant even see the mouth or the eyes staring romantically
