one good thriller horror that i've read from manga is ibitsu

as for junji ito, i don't really think they are horror at all

more like disgusting thriller, the way he incite fear is to draw a monster as disgusting as possible in dark atmosphere, well it's thrilling if you read it alone but still disgusting to see at all

Altough they way those stories usually go the Monkeys have either already taken over the country or the Monkeys are a secret experiment from the Goverment gone awry and the authorities have already sealed up all the exits

It does make sense but people would send a person or two to investigate, it's very likely that they would die. In the long the run before they send an army do you know how many people who came to the village to investigate will die? I doubt if villagers would hold out for that long.

I don't know how this Manga does it exactly, but it manages to be very good and atrociously bad at the same time. Which is something, I guess.
