Description: After a long and treacherous journey, our Hero finally arrives at the Dark Lady’s castle only to find himself being asked for help. The Hero explains how the war that the demons have brought upon the humans have killed thousands and put more in misery. The queen of demons however argues that this war has made the human society band together as one and showed empirical evidence how it has increased population, increased production, boosted economy and improved society overall. Furthermore, she explains to the Hero that ending this war will result in a civil war that will produce more bloodshed than there ever was. The Hero, convinced that the only way to bring peace, relatively speaking, is to join forces with the Dark Lady, agrees to help with her plans!

One of five simultaneous serializations of the Maoyuu Maou Yuusha series.

The art is cute. Although I see "Be mine hero!" "I refuse!" As the true version, this isnt too bad. I especially like the chibi version of maou when shes teaching.

Kinda sad this version doesn't get scanlated anymore.. It's already progressed quite a bit and it looks the ecchi-est out of the adaptation..

@cas

I think this story is told in a third person view so that is why everyone was not given a name. It is more interesting this way also. Think of your OP scene to adventure type stories like: 500 years ago the hero and his companions fought the demon king and brought peace back to the kingdom." except longer and in details just without names.

@Seikah

The reason why it was translated is because it is an title and not a name. "Yuusha" is certainly not the main character's name; thus translating it is not wrong because only a title is translated not a name.
Seikah: But in Naruto, you don't have an entire cast named after what they are/do. A hero called Hero? Well, fine, that much can be ignored. And Demon Lord already is a title used instead of a name. But a female knight called Female Knight? A female magic user called Female Magic User? A young merchant called Young Merchant? Everyone here is named after what they do, no exceptions.

The intend is obviously to give them names descriptive of what they are. For that, the names need to be translated.
Not only am I impressed with the story and art, I also am learning a lot about politics and economics. Thanks :D
oh ........ no I like he orisinal One ...................................................
art is different (i like scarlet eye)
Cause the guy is called Yuusha in the original work, even if it means and translates to Hero. No one's going around calling Haruno Sakura something like 'spring's cherry blossom' when they're translating Naruto either.
I actually prefer the uuse of their titles to their names, cause if i understand correctly, their names and titles are the same, the hero is called Yuusha but is a Yuusha (hero) so why not just call him hero. Plus for me its easier to remember for me.
Thanks, Cydric. ;]
I find the lack of names disturbing, seriously, the most creative name so far was "grandpa"
artworks heavily reminds of Yuusha no esthetica
@cas I think it's what the author decided as his writing style.
Instead of *thinking up of a name* or naming the characters, they become like generic RPG characters.
The author might want to try it for fun because there's not many using that style.
They slap this name and that, and some authors try to make puns, but with these generic RPG types, it's as if it's a RPG template.

Btw, Female Knight looks the best in this version, even better than the Demon Queen. In other versions, her breasts makes her look adorable and cute, but in this version, because the bodies are taller and more slender, it's suits Female Knight very well, just like Saber (Fate), while Demon Queen looks more generic..
@cas: The author made it that way, there is no unique name you have to remember so you can easily distinguish who is who. I find it give the characters that sort of fairy tale story feel to it.

Of course some characters have multiple name that they get called by, take Hero/White Swordsman for example.

As for ch 3, lol at the punchline on the last page.
I've been wondering for quite some time now, but why does no character in this story have a name?
Mauo's breast are so legendary, they have to add them in each manga.
personally i like this one more

maybe is just because i read it first but i like the art more
The art in this is really pretty in my opinion. The Demon Queen is so adorable! You just feel like wanting to hug her, she' so awesome!
@Jel44 This one.
@Jel44

The LN . . .
So which Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is the main version?
Double tsundere
MaoYuu's main site labels the CompAce version (so-called "shounen style") as the "Official Comic", not the Famitsu one.
