It's light sci-fi.  It's not super deep, but it could easily be a Kotonoba Drive plot with Suu.

She sees a man on a train who for unknown reasons seems to exist in both left-hand and right-hand space - that's one guy's legs. It's chirality. Look for the vertical dot-lines where the spaces diverge, though it's not clear whether that's due to the man or the train car or the station.

 

This is actually semi-sciencey stuff - Mobius (the strip guy) realized that rotating a 3D object in a 4th spatial dimension can mirror it. - so the divergence could be a place where the 4th dimension is unrolled.  Or I could be overthinking it.

 

ANYHOW, when she goes to pick up his mitten, she heads into the left-hand mirror space instead of her normal right-hand space.   Luckily she manages to find her way back to the divergence point and go the right (har) way.

 

You have to be careful when rotating 3D objects thru 4-space. One of the transformations will turn things in-side-out. That's how a Klein bottle works.

It couldn't, though. It has the odd atmosphere, but Kotonoba Drive odd events never really have consequences.

Yeah, in the KD version it'd only last 30 minutes and she'd end up back where she started without meeting the guy with implications (heavens forbid).  But the basic premise of accidentally slipping into a strange but plausible mirror universe, then slipping back out.
